Weren't the Israelites allegedly nomads and refugees from Egypt?

Even if you believe the Bible to be true, they already admit Israelites are not native to the land. If they were native to the land why was it "promised" to them? Wouldn't they just own it?

If you want to go by the biblical history too which is proven correct then the Israelites own the land.

There is no tribe that can actually lay claim to any land, it was all taken at some point, however lands were won by conquest till date

Israelites defeated the Moabites to claim the land before the 1st century even began.

The Moabites settled themselves in another location which is present day Jordan.

No hard feelings, they simply found another ground.

Roman Empire, Greek empire etc were all super power at their times, they weren't looking for people's land but were looking for world colonial power (e.g what Britain, France where doing world wide)

It was a global conquest to not just Israel but other nations where they took slaves to their homes and set up admistrators only for the purpose of exploiting the places and taking proceeds home.

This was how Jews were scattered abroad (just like Africa slave trade)

The land was still theirs all the time, e.g even when Romans where in Israel they acknowledged Israel internal rulership in the land like ciaphas was consulted by Pontius Pilate before taking decision on Jesus.

So essentially Jews owned the land but massive evacuation by invaders kept them abroad

Then came the Ottoman Islamic empire that meant a fallow land because it's people where abroad and claimed it for itself because it was looking at it religiously.

When Ottoman Empire was about to leave unlike other world powers who came and left the place to their countries they decided to plant a new set of inhabitants into the place and called them Palestinians.

Yet Ottoman had its vast empire from turkey,Algeria to north Africa.

Meanwhile the initial displaced Jews unlike the Moabites can't fully settle in their respective displaced places simply because they are born Zionists and can't settle anywhere other than the initial home they belong to
