Bro, of all the recommendations given here, Drink water! That is the most important. Make sure you're always hydrated, drink enough water after meal and whenever you're feeling dry.

Sorry! About 90% of mouth odours do not come from the mouth. They come from the stomach and point to an underlying illness like Diabetes, Chronic Kidney disease, GERD, etc. With that said, you may want to visit a dentist first to check for holes in the teeth or tooth decays. Later you can go and see a doctor who would run tests to see if you have underlying illnesses like Diabetes, CKD, GERD etc. Most dentists may not bother to tell you that the the odour is not from your mouth. That's why you need to see a doctor (Physician) after going to the dentist. After the tests, they'll most likely refer you to a specialist who'll handle your treatment.

Once the underlying illness is treated, your mouth odour will disappear like it was never there.

PS: Don't waste your money on mouth wash and mouth odour powders that people sell online, that promise quick relief. They can only mask the odour for a few minutes, and you'll waste a lot of money.

I used to face this problem too. I'm still battling with it though but my condition has improved a lot since I started doing the following:

1. Brush morning and night for at least 5-7 minutes, taking care to scrub your tongue as far back as you can(not violently though). If you have a gag reflex, try putting a little salt on the tip of your tongue....

2. Avoid onions.

3. Make sure your mouth doesn't stay dry for a long period of time. Every now and then, make saliva and swirl it around your mouth, saliva contains natural properties which kills bacteria.

4. Don't rinse your mouth with plenty water after brushing, allow a trace of the toothpaste to remain.

Hi brother.I feel your pain.kinda knows what it feels like.... Bad breath is a problem with breath. It does not necessarily mean the mouth is not clean. Most of these suggestions are quite a bunch but I think this will solve your problem permanently even when you don't obey some of those rules though they are healthy:

Learn to allow all your breath pass through your nose. Practice talking without any air passing through your mouth.

This is life changing I guarantee you. It will touch everything about you including your psyche, confidence. (asides the bad breath ish) It will also make you more relaxed and improve your breath via deep breathing because you will be forced to be more conscious of your breath.

Asides that, consider the following..

Try white colored toothpaste. I personally don't use Closeup for any reason even if it's the only toothpaste in the world. I will never use it or any red çoloured past. Blue coloured ones are second, like Oral B,

Drink lots of water. Make sure your mouth is moist as much as possible.

Doctors advise that you brush before and after every meal. That is really difficult when you have more serious things to do. So if you must chose let it be after every meal. That means you eat first in the morning before brushing.

You will find that you will not need most of these if you keep to the breath and after meal brushing strategies, you will be fine.

Strict observance with all these will just do all the magic for the breath.

1 ginger, grate it to get the juice out. One teaspoon of ginger juice.
1 teaspoon of coconut oil
1and half teaspoon of lemon
A pinch of salt
Mix one teaspoon of ginger and teaspoon of coconut, add a pinch of salt and a drop of lemon and toothpaste.Mix well
Put this mixture in your fridge and use 3 times a week for one month

Those of you giving those preventive measures, they dont cure chronic halitosis. You need to see a certified dentist... I think a particular surgery will be performed to remove those bacteria that causes halitosis if you have the money.

Use Colgate (Optic White) toothpaste morning and nights and thank me later!!!

Avoid sweet/sugary foods.

Halitosis is caused by quick multiplication of bacteria from the tongue down to your intenstine which is caused by untreated ulcer

Its actually because you close your mouth too much. Always make sure you take breakfast no matter what. If you must close ur mouth, chew something. Try that and thank us later..
