Fahdiga1: Not like neither of Buhari or GEJ administration is responsible for this. The Chinese fully funded this project and project managed till completion. Neither of the govt significantly has a role to play here |

This clown earned N51 Trillion, but no road, no railway, no hospital, no refinery, nothing, just looting and stealing.

mayo47: So, we did not do anything, China just read our mind and China just came up with the plan to build a railway in Nigeria, did the studies, China negotiated with China, China signed the railway contract with China, China gave China the loan and China just landed in Nigeria to start and complete the project without our knowledge and our impute? Wow!!! See own little or no sense you made? |

This is how you know we will stay in our useless state and keep pointing finger at one another. PDP was useless and we all were supposed to push them out however, our brothers from the other side voted them still, knowing fully well how useless they were. Now, thank God we went APC, we realized APC is also useless, they are just better cos they are new. Now, all APC did was show evidence that they are better than Useless PDP. Now tell me how can we progress when we were comparing very useless vs useless. If and only if our selfish brothers had all voted APC in 2015, then PDP would've been DEAD by now. Then in 2019, we would've seen how useless APC is also cos they will have nothing to compare against since PDP is not in the picture, then we can all easily see how useless APC is, then guess what we would've gotten an alternative and progressed to a better party (not APC) in 2019. But that is not our case. We are all talking past ourselves and pointing finger in different direction and hating one another. Imagine, APC built a train from Lagos to Ibadan, something that we did not have prior and we are still talking about PDP. NA wah oh!!!! 1 Like |

Above is from your link and it is quiet clear that Jonathan only started the Abuja - Kaduna segment. Buhari completed the Abuja - Kaduna segment and started the Lagos -Ibadan segment. So, what’s your point again? 1 Like |

Guy calm down and leave me out of your partisan nonsense. Didn't you see in the first link that Ameachi said they were building railways based on the Obasanjo master plan conceived in 2006? GEJ built the ABJ-KAD end to a point before PMB finished it. The second link which is an article written by Tolu Ogunlesi an aide of PMB confirmed that PMB restarted and finished the LAG-IBA line conceived by OBJ so why the insults? There's no doubt that when it comes to modernizing our railway infrastructure PMB deserves all the accolades. But if Buhari doesn't solve the horrible security crisis in the land right now no one will remember that he built railways because only the living will use the trains. plaindealer: |

This is false... Lagos-Ibadan Railway Project started as far as OBJ era, Yaradua and GEJ continued the process. Buhari only finished what they started |

Re: Fact Check: The Buhari Administration Started, Completed The Lagos–Ibadan Rail by ObaIgwe1: 6:33pm On Jun 14, 2021 |
Penguin2: This subject was discussed on this platform years ago.... here is the fact: Obasanjo first initiated the standard gauge railway project, signed MoU and even did a kick off ceremony. Then came Yar’adua who cancelled the Contract. Enter Jonathan, he signed another MoU with China but the project didn't take off because he didn't pay the necessary counterpart funds to kick start the project. So it remained on the drawing board just like the 2nd Niger Bridge till Jonathan left. Then came Buhari and Ameachi, they paid the counterpart funds kick started the project and completed the project. Yes...the OP is right! 2 Likes |

AutoReportNG: I remember you opened the debate thread on this subject matter years ago... you were corrected on that thread with facts...but you are still erroneously holding to your wrong view. Except by "starting"... you mean signing MoU.... But the physical project / Actual implementation was started and completed by Buhari. 2 Likes |

ObaIgwe1: You either like it or not, PMB did not start the Lagos-Ibadan Railway. You can argue and start all you need to. Yes he completed it but he never started it. It like claiming the glory for 2nd Niger Bridge . |

I will advise you leave political sentiments / bias out of this your moniker and focus it on Auto-Reporting, just that I will from now also be double checking your auto reports as well... to be sure you are not biased towards a particular auto brand in your reporting... AutoReportNG: Mr man you are losing your reputation because of political sentiments. As a so called auto reporter, all you need to provide us with are counter proofs against the OP. All I see here are just politically biased rantings. Although there are many empty brains on Nairaland, they believe anything once it is within their political expectations. But I can assure you that Nairaland has a lot of silent but highly intelligent people and professionals! Your are making empty counter proofs without evidence? |
