Lies from the pit of hell. Buhari didn't start the Lagos Ibadan rail line but I must give him credit for completing it. The presidency should learn to give honour to whom honour is due. They should acknowledge the PDP administration that started the project. Enough of this lies and propaganda by this present administration
can you tell us where PDP stop before Buhari continue? Mumu!

Fact Checked
The Lagos Ibadan rail is neither Jonathan nor Buhari's project but a part of the Chinese government's belt and road initiative that would be paid with interest by Nigerian taxpayers.
Now you may argue that the rail would be of great economic value to Nigeria but then again, the truth is, it would not.
So far, high-speed railway transport is run at a loss in every country except Japan and France. The rail service would only survive on government subsidies hence it is not self sustaining.
Again, due to its high cost, most Nigerians would prefer alternative means of transport. It wasn't a well thought out project on the part of nigeria.
Nigeria should have invested heavily on electricity, roads and security.
High speed rail is a luxury Nigeria cant afford yet. This project has only added a burden to the nigerian tax payers

This same argument?

A $1.53 billion contract was awarded in '2012' to the China Civil Engineering Construction Corporation for construction of the Lagos–Ibadan segment (156 km) of the standard gauge railway by 2016.
en dot wikipedia dot org/wiki/Lagos%E2%80%93Kano_Standard_Gauge_Railway

In other words,It started from the former administration and completed by the current one! Simple!
Besides, Government is a continuum!
Whoever started and completed such project should not arise or even be discussed!
This fact check is totally unnecessary and a complete waste of time considering what we are facing in this country presently!

You can not use that word to describe anything because you have no clue about the project, you were not there, you don't know what they did or did not do, you have zero access to data or official government records and scope of work at any level of deliberation, negotiations, construction, supervision and completion.

You don't get to quantify what you know nothing about.

Lol....How did you arrive at this conclusion..Do you know anything about me.. Such a funny Man (Guess you're a man)

Another insane rubbish.

What's next? China hypnotized Nigeria and built a railway without our knowledge or participation?

The project was started and completed by the Buhari administration. Like Remo Omokri, many of you are either not informed or are just being mischievous.

The same lie was told about the second Niger bridge, that Jonathan started it. The only thing Jonathan did was take a photograph of himself with the project board of the bridge and that was even done to hoodwink our South East brethren.

Six years of the Buhari administration has seen milestone projects being completed that the six years of Jonathan ( and in fact the 16 years of the PDP) couldn't.

It is the height of shamelessness for anyone who has sworn allegiance to the PDP to be claiming victory for a triumph they played no part in.

The PDP can't see a $2B project and not steal it. They can't even complete their own party headquarters after stealing the funds raised for it twice!

As soon as the second Niger bridge is ready next year, they will claim that one too.

Shameless people.

I don't understand your question or your temperament. My point remains that the rail project only favors China. Nigeria would lose money while china would earn big.
Let me educate you a little. Nigeria borrowed money from China in dollars, but the passengers would pay in naira. the value of the naira has continued to fall. So ultimately, Nigeria could pay back at more than twice the amount they borrowed.
Again who does the railway serve? would the average Nigerian pay N4000 from Ibadan to Lagos? Remember, for every empty seat on the train, money is been lost.
That is why I choose to see this as a Chinese project, It is very anti-Nigerian. Nigeria should have rather borrowed for the completion of Zungaru hydro dam or other projects that have overall positive effects

Oga this is not about PDP or APC. This is about the Nigerian economy. Let's not pretend that Your APC has done any better with the economy. The rail Project remains a very bad decision and a great financial burden on the taxpayers of Nigeria with very little value to its people.

Nice but SMH ...
It's high time Nigerians get the orientation that leaders are elected to do such things and stop the hyping when they perform their roles haven been elected .
The mentality of singing praises over a basic social amenity is sickening.
Do these leaders not get huge fat allowances and monthly salaries whilst in those positions of leadership? Or is it not the nations revenue and tax payers monies they use to execute project(s) so why the fuse and noise @OP and likes.

Thanks for quoting ....
Stay Woke.
Hope you have a residual income too...

SMH @you and your kind of mindset.

This govt and claiming and twisting facts. The Lagos-Ibadan stretch of the rail project is part of the Lagos-Kano project which was started by the GEJ administration. The Abuja-Kaduna portion of the project had already been fully completed and dis portion of the project had already been started by the previous administration which was why dis govt embarked on a modernisation of what was already done wen it claimed to have started it
mkpomiri is not good on you
