Ondo State Government on Thursday, ordered the immediate expulsion of eight senior secondary school pupils of Saint Peter's Unity Secondary School, Akure for allegedly involving in fraud.






The Commissioner for Education in the state, Dr. Pius Osunyikanmi, ordered their expulsion when he visited the school on Thursday.

A statement by the Press Officer of the ministry, Mr Kehinde Adeleye, said the commissioner, who was annoyed with the development, said the state government would not allow miscreants to turn schools to where criminals are bred.

The eight pupils, according to the statement, defrauded government by paying their school fees into the account of one of them, while they took fake duplicate tellers to their schools for clearance.

The statement explained that Osunyikanmi stopped the pupils from writing the ongoing West African Senior Secondary Certificate Examination, and also, called for their immediate arrest.

The commissioner advised parents to always instill discipline into their children, adding that government decided to take the step in order to serve as a lesson to others.

The statement gave the names of the pupils as: Adenuga Abiodun, Ewegbemi Tope, Imafidon Tope, Akinnawonu Nelson, Olorunusi Ayodeji,

Ayinnuola Damola, Umeric Michael and Akindowa O.

Will you blame these kids when they do not have any hope of making a living because their government tole from them?. How can the govt punish them for the same crime they commit?.
