Relationships can sometimes be difficult to navigate. One moment, you both are on good terms, and all of a sudden you're having a fight.

A lot of people are shocked when they received the news that their partner is no more interested in them, some even find it difficult to believe. This is so because nothing seems to be wrong with the relationship.

It takes some people months, or even years, to believe that they and their partner are no more together. To be on the safe side of the matter, it is important that you know your stand.

There are certain pointers that a relationship will last; or will not last. It is best to know that a breakup is around the corner, and prepare your mind for it.

Without further ado, here are 5 signs your current relationship will last.

1. There is Mutual Respect
Mutual respect is key to the sustenance and growth of any relationship. No relationship can thrive if both parties don't have mutual respect for one another; or, if it's only one person that respects the other.

If there is mutual respect in your current relationship, you can be slightly assured that your relationship is going to last.

If you both lack respect for one another - that's a point that you will soon be apart.

Now, this can be tricky; especially when you're in a new relationship. Because people in new relationships are often just getting to know one another; and are going to try to impress the other person.

In the course of impressing the other person, people might become all nice that you don't know if that is their true nature or they are faking it.

On the other hand, if you've been in a relationship for a long time, and you both still have mutual respect for one another - kudos to you both; you have high chances of lasting together.

2. There is Mutual Acceptance
It takes a consenting two to be in a relationship. If you and your lover know your differences, likes, and dislikes; and still accept one another. There is a high probability that you're going to last.

People opt for break up, the moment they realize the flaws and imperfections of their partner; because they can cope with them.

If you're both proud of one another, after finding out your differences - it's a sign that you're likely to last.

People who don't accept their partner's differences eventually go their separate ways.
