It's totally up to the individuals. I personally have no problem kissing on the first date. Just because you kiss someone on the first date doesn't mean you're putting yourself down as a woman. You worded your post in a way that implies that it is the girl who is making the move to kiss the guy so my question to you is if a guy is the one making the move then would you say he is putting himself down as a man?

two mature individuals should and can be able to do what they please, and not about" what is right or what people will think", I know couples that have kissed, even screwed on the first date and stay together for years, and i know others that wait and wait and once they get down to intimacy they quit.
