It worked for you doesn't mean it'll work for others. They're a lot successful and wealthy Nigerians abroad. Everyone has different path in life. But wait, can't you see the level of poverty and suffering in this country? You can't look down upon or blame anyone looking for better opportunities.
true but many would have been more successful back home. Go there and seek opportunity, then come back home and apply it and you'd never regret it. I know friends who are professionals in the USA doing odd jobs. I remember my friend who was a chartered accountant before relocating. He's merely feeding from hand to mouth now.

Hope u don build ur own church as your father in the lord did in the eighties... U haven't fulfill ur destiny if u haven't build ur business church
I don't have any father in the Lord oh, so please...

As for building my own church, I don't think I'd build any church, if I wanted to, I would have built several by now.

I think there are enough church buildings in the land already, so my job is to get them to wake up from their slumber and serve their purpose.

I'm on oyedepo's side on this. I took same bold step but never regretted it. I'm an embodiment of God's favour and grace. Shebi we go the America sef, but I chose to return home after my program. I don't know if the highest earning Nigerian living overseas can match me in revenues monthly. I give them money each time I go America. Ordinary 100 dollar is like giving them millions. I had shared stories of my life and that of my uncle who used to work at Walmart in the past as stores officer. He shunned the flashy lifestyles over there and came back home, to introduce a solar inverter manufactured by trace engineering, USA which later became Xantrex. His friends booed him, they said village people had come calling, that he's been bewitched. This man today is a billionaire. He had a major leap in his business when the atm revolution erupted in Nigeria, he became favourite of old generation banks including the CBN for installation of inverters to power all their atms nationwide. Na foreigners like Indians for chop the whole money clean mouth, come pay our graduates employed with peanut.

Nigeria is a land of honey and milk. Na those in government God go punish for discouraging foreign investors from coming in through their selfish ends. We can still work together as neighbours in areas where each has a comparative advantage. I have a friend who had his masters and PhD in a university in NC, where he lives. I was very much close to adulthood in 1987 and I can tell you it was one of the worst years in living memory at the time. That was the year Babangida banned the importation of stockfish (the cheapest source of protein at the time for poor people) and people had to start eating stockfish head. By then, the Naira was already hitting N20 to $1 (an all-time low).

It was very clear as at 1987 the country had started to drift once more under the new regime after a positive start.

So mr man, nobody is getting carried away. Those who were very aware knew the country was not in good shape.

Succinctly written. I can't type, I am borrowing this grin
jesusjnr2020:
I've had several opportunities to do so.

First one I was willing to go but then all of a sudden, I just found myself later rejecting the offer. I don't even know what really came over me then.

Another was when I had begun to walk at the level of the Spirit. It was in the early noughties when i was given an opportunity to relocate to Minnesota sometime in 2003, but I declined because by then my orientation had changed.

Although things weren't going fine, I had this strong belief that things would change, and that I was meant to be a part of the solution, so I just couldn't abandon Nigeria to go elsewhere, because I believed Nigeria needed me here.

At the time, I didn't know much about what i was doing, but over the years, I have come to realize that my decisions were actually Spirit-led, because I'm one of those that God planned to use to birth a new Nigeria He'd use to shake and shock the world, and let the world know that He's the Lord of all the Earth.

That's why when people see a hopeless situation, I see a huge opportunity for God. When people see chaos, i see the storm before a great calm. When people see a nation that cannot survive the present crises, i see a nation that would emerge from it the better. When people see a dead nation, I see a nation that would rise again, because I believe in God, and that which is impossible with men is possible with God, for with God nothing shall be impossible.

God bless.

I'm not a fan of all these men of god but on this one he is right

Think of it this way, if its about his pocket, sebi his church has branches abroad as well so either here or there money comes in for him

He is right about it and no doubt!
MrBrownJay1:
you dont want people to be slaves abroad but you rather they stay in Nigeria and be slaves to men like you, abi?!
narrow minded state of mind from people who only care about their own pockets... whether abroad or in Nigeria, people should look for their happiness wherever they desire, and so long as they aint doing anything wrong/illegal or against the law to care for their family, these fake men of god should be happy for these people instead of looking down on them.

these men always read the bible backwards in order that it fits their deluded agenda!!!

The grass is greener wherever you choose to water it, at least most people feel they would have a fair chance of getting jobs or whatever they want with some level of meritocracy compare with the nepotistic attitude in Nigeria, how can one honestly change or make any serious impact in such system.

The fact is many destinies have been revived by just a single opportunity of relocating abroad.Nigeria of those days is different from that of today.People get job appointments while still in final year in those days.Even a school cert gets u a job that you maintain a family with in those days.Pastor is saying this because he benefited from the poverty in Nigeria today which makes a lot of people fill up church auditoriums seeking for miracles, some people trek from far distances to church but still pay tithes and offering expecting miracles.
