Jesus Says The Father Is Glorified If We Bear Much Fruits


John 15:8 (KJV)

Herein is my Father glorified, that ye bear much fruit; so shall ye be my disciples.

It's important though to reiterate that what Jesus means to bear fruits is to keep God's Word, because it's misinterpreted by many to mean something else.

Jesus said:

Luke 8:11 (KJV)

Now the parable is this: The seed is the word of God.

Luke 8:15 (KJV)

But that on the good ground are they, which in an honest and good heart, having heard the word, keep it, and bring forth fruit with patience.

So to bear fruits is an illustration of keeping God's Word which is sown into man's hearts, for that's the reason the seed of God's Word is sown into a man's heart.

Jesus also spoke of the rate at which men bear fruits of the Word of God sown into their hearts.

Matthew 13:8 (KJV)

But other fell into good ground, and brought forth fruit, some an hundredfold, some sixtyfold, some thirtyfold.

And Jesus said that God is glorified when we bear much fruits, which means that the more we bear fruits of the seed of the Word of God which is sown into our lives, in other words, the more we keep the Word of God, the more God is glorified.

Hence we shouldn't settle for bearing thirtyfold, or sixtyfold, but strive to bear a hundredfold of the Word of God sown into our lives, because God is glorified when we bear much fruits, and God deserves nothing but a hundred fold return of the Word that He's invested into our lives.
