Daniel058:
I have a question. Do you believe in 1.Predestination ?
2. Why did God Love Esau and hated Jacob ?
Remember the main Question/ topic is Does God love/Treat everyone equally?

MALACHI 1Vs 2-3
2 “I have loved you,” says the Lord.
“But you ask, ‘How have you loved us?’
“Was not Esau Jacob’s brother?” declares the Lord. “Yet I have loved Jacob, 3 but Esau I have hated, and I have turned his hill country into a wasteland and left his inheritance to the desert jackals.”

Predestination is a pagan teaching that has no bearing in the word of God.

JEHOVAH has established His covenant with Abraham so He concentrated on that lineage.

I think the question you should ask is what is the main purpose of that covenant because if you know the purpose then we now go into the reason why God is using His power to foresee what will happen to people having to do with that lineage.

God has the power to see through our hearts what each person will like to do in the future but He doesn't look at everyone except the lineage having to do with his purpose.

Esau was Isaac's first born and Isaac believed that the covenant supposed to be transferred to Esau but it was later that we now know why God said He love Jacob and hate Esau, WHY because the heritage Abraham cherished so much that made him suffer so much throughout his life Esau despised as nothing of great importance! Genesis 25:31-34

Surely Isaac must have told his sons everything about this heritage so ask yourself why would Esau sell his birthright to Jacob knowing fully well what that means?

So Jehovah wasn't partial when He said:

I love this one but i hate that one, remember there were many people on earth before Jehovah chose Abraham, therefore any of Abraham's offsprings who doesn't cherish the heritage of FAITH passed on to him/her is an enemy of the person who swore an oath with Abraham to use his lineage as a means to bless all other nations! Genesis 12:1-3

You will understand many things regarding our heritage {Isaiah 54:17} so calm down and learn. Our God will count anyone from any tribe or nation as one of Abraham's offsprings {Matthew 3:9 compare to Romans 2:25-29} if you have the kind of FAITH Abraham had {John 1:11-12} but even if that person is Jesus' blood brother from the same mother (Mary) God will hate him if he despises our heritage! Matthew 12:46-49

but the bible in Romans 8:29-30 say
New International Version
29 For those God foreknew he also predestined to be conformed to the image of his Son, that he might be the firstborn among many brothers and sisters. 30 And those he predestined, he also called; those he called, he also justified; those he justified, he also glorified.

Ephesians 1vs 5-6 & 11

5 he[a] predestined(A) us for adoption to sonship[b](B) through Jesus Christ, in accordance with his pleasure(C) and will— 6 to the praise of his glorious grace,(D) which he has freely given us in the One he loves.(E)

Vs 11 In him we were also chosen,[d] having been predestined(M) according to the plan of him who works out everything in conformity with the purpose(N) of his will, cry

so ask yourself why would Esau sell his birthright to Jacob knowing fully well what that means?.
If he died of Hunger , Jacob would ve taken that birth right too. IT was Jacob who tricked his brother into selling his birth right, he should have given his brother food without asking for anything in exchange..
If they are were to be your Children as A child of God , Shouldn't you have said that What Jacob did is Bad?

There is a big issue with translations when it comes to the Bible. But you need to know God's people today before you can understand what is written in the Bible.
I told you from the onset that there are many spirits claiming God and their worshipers are everywhere. So since they also have access to the Bible how do you expect them to translate their own version? Of course they will tell you God is partial because that's what they themselves are. Do you think the God dealing with Abraham was partial? Well he is not Sir.

Perhaps i should quote the same verse for you in the translation of Abraham's offsprings!

In the world of the loyalists loyalty comes first before anything else!
Jacob cherished that heritage that's why he demanded for it, Esau came back from hunting and he's hungry but do you think he could die within that few minutes that he would spend in cooking something for himself?
Please how would you feel if your own child betrayed you due to hunger?
Well instead of loosing our Heritage we will prefer to go hungry (fasting) because man must not live on bread (food) alone but by every utterance protruding from God's mouth!
The two weren't babies when Jacob demanded for the birthright so Esau simply despised it because he doesn't take it seriously! smiley

Am I the only Christian who's finding it difficult to understand God ,I don't think like this before But of recent am beginning to think wether the bible Is telling us the whole truth about God or was it written out of peoples opinion about who the almighty God is .
1John 4:16 God is love, and whoever abides in love abides in God, and God abides in him. God is love, and all who live in love live in God, and God lives in them.
If he does, why are the Israelites considered as choosen people?
According to Jesus Christ, He was sent by God to only those who are the Lost sheep of Israel — the sinners of the world since they are cursed by God's Old Law and scattered to all the ends of the earth as a result. So, it is not enough to claim you were a tag that says Christian, you also have to be of the lost sheep of Israel to qualify for Jesus Christ. undecided

God cursed most of Israel and scattered them across every tribe, every language, and every nation of this world. That is how God treated His chosen people who sinned against Him. Are these the people you choose to envy? undecided

God's love is equal but His grace isn't equal. Now, back to ur question: Why are the Isrealites considered as chosen people? In the past, Begining from Adam, Noah, Abraham, Isaac, to Jacob(Isreal) were the who knew The Lord and God had relationship with them unlike other nations. That was why they(non Jews) refer God as God of the Hebrews. Long story, cut short. But after Christ came to shed His precious blood for the remission of sins, Salvation got to everyone irrespective of the nations, tribes or races.

So we are to throw what Jesus Christ said in Matthew 15 vs 24 of His Father sending Him only to the lost sheep of israel away because it does not align with your current ideology? undecided

Along with that we also throw what the same Jesus Christ commands to His followers not to give that which is Holy to dogs(Gentiles) - Matthew 7 vs 6 - away, right? undecided

Only keep the parts of the teachings of Jesus Christ which agree with you, abi? undecided

According to God, the one who cursed and scattered them, Israel is His sheep - Deuteronomy 30 vs 1 - 6 & Ezekiel 34 vs 20 - 32. undecided

So God directly insisting that Israel is His sheep is off point? And the same God insisting that He will gather back His Israel scattered to all corners of the end and cause them to carefully obey Him is also off point? undecided

Now, I see you are just here to argue blindly against that which is obviously above your comprehension abilities. undecided
