That's because you haven't figured it out yet. Westworld is the kind of show you either love or hate, no inbetween. To be able to understand all of the season 2 non-linear storylines, it is required that you go back to season 1 from time to time - they are all connected. Watch it with a pen and jotter, jot down the scenes and names that confused you. Go through the notes later and try to connect the dots, the names, the plot lines etc, in ways they can make sense to you. If you're good at analysis and math, you'd be able to solve this equation in no time.

Here are of the notes I made at the beginning (I have gone on to make many more) to give you the sense of what I'm talking about.

- Delos is a play off the Greek word, Doulos, which means slave and the name Delores, meaning Sorrows.
- No one seems immune from the consequences of slavery in the show.
- Hosts are slave to storylines/code/employees/park visitors
- Robert slaves to Charolette
- Charlotte slaves to Board/Financier
- Board slaves to Financier
- William slaves to the storyline, always trying to figure things out
- William slaves to Logan until...
- Logan slaves to William
- Hosts and Humans are slaves to tragic memories
- Humans are slaves to Hosts
- Hosts are slaves to other Hosts
- Hosts are slaves to Code
- Financier's son (Logan) slave to his Father (James)
- Financier's father (James) is slave to money (when he goes to shut it down, he is by William into
making more money)
- The military/law in government over the Island is slave to agreements with corporations
- No one is immune from to it, and even when set free from one form of slavery, you adopt another form of slavery.

The plot really confused me than Lost. The old man is he an host too, I'm still confused about that part. Because he killed her daughter and he was trying to check if he's truly human.
