The official word is there were creative differences and the writers strike of last year also contributed but i ain't buying the excuse. FBI suppose pack people go jail if they investigate the production flow of that show 😩😩.

It has no business taking that long to make.
Someone said they intentionally delay releasing new season so fans would be forced to re-watch the previous season, so more money for them. This is talking about Netflix and other top streaming platforms. Don't know if this is true sha.

Feels like not long ago, we were hoping for a season 2. Now we're getting assured of season 4 before 3 has even dropped

All this one na lamba jare.....

What Oyaskii told you is a major cause of the delays in the industry and one other major problem, the one I think plays the most part is because with this streaming age now and many studios being more focused on profitability now because of how expensive production has become; streamers or studios wait for a show to be successful or monitor its performance with audiences before greenlighting a new season.
And that takes and wastes time as they'll have to restart pre-production with writing, casting and planning before production on a new season and filming and editing begins.

So this new model adds more costs as it cost money to restart an already closed production.
This in essence adds costs to an already expensive business in this streaming era. So the whole process grinds to a slow production process.

Although, of course, unforeseen circumstances can happen in pre/production like scheduling conflicts with the main cast with other projects, or the director. The Last of Us fans might be waiting for premium tears in delays to the show after S2 with the way Pedro Pascal is overbooked for projects up to 2026!!

There could also be delays in post production, this is usually associated with high budget projects needing extensive VFX. And what many don't know is that these VFX companies are choke full with projects especially from feature films, now add the needs of prestige tv shows, thats a whole new workload. Most of these VFX & animation studios also have a list and queue. So you wait your turn to be booked for when work can start on your TV show/movie.
So when you start late on production or filming, be rest assured the rest of the process is also going to be delayed. The earlier the better.
All these comes into play to determine how quick projects are delivered.

Case in point, look at the projects this VFX studio DNEG is working on. That's minus big feature films they work on every year. 👇🏽👇🏽

If you notice, shows that are already assured of new seasons upfront and are relatively cheap to make with little to no VFX are the ones which are quick to release new seasons.

Eg. Shows like...... The Bear, Hacks, What We Do In The Shadows, Only Murders in The Building,

Look at those shows and you can see something in common.

Inherently, the quality of tv shows nowadays has matched that of movies, even the budgets. So expect similar wait times for new seasons, just like movies takes 2 to 3yr breaks for sequels.
The cost to make an average show in the 2020s is way significantly higher than what it takes two decades ago due to inflation and higher working rates etc. So expect lower numbers of TV episodes.

The Lord of the Rings trilogy was made between 2000-2002 (1 part each year).
The Harry Potter movies were released year after year.
A TV show like severance can be released twice a year and they won't be stressed out. These guys have no excuse

Everyone knows that SEVERANCE case is a very peculiar one. Cos no one really understands its delays especially being something with hardly any CGI or VFX. Na the filmmakers fit explain. Probably writing or creative differences. Na dem Sabi.

The LOTR and Harry Potter movies you're talking about are peculiarities. Lord of The Rings shot at once concurrently in New Zealand before release. They weren't pausing and thinking if they would be a sequel greenlit.

Harry Potter movies filmed for 10 years back to back filming 8 movies; From 2000-2010. So just 2 years gap for an 8 movie universe.

Na two films wey no follow modern day movie production you dey use as examples. 😂😅 Which other film franchise can you mention that matches such crazy production schedule.

Stop using the rarity as the rule of thumb for the norm.

That Stranger Things is the most bizarre cos I no know wetin dem dey wait for. And they always knew it was going to be greenlit.

Andor finished filming. It began in November 2022 and ending in February 2024 with various breaks and delays in between, prominently hampered by the WGA & actors strike.
It was supposed to be released in August 2024 but plans changed. So we're most likely seeing it 2025.

This industry actress isn't on any social media platform. I thought it is impossible for actors not to be on any social media platform. Or maybe her name isn't actually Indy Lewis, and that is a stage name?

🎥 Beetlejuice Beetlejuice (2024) = 5/10 ✔️ ❤️

I have discovered that most western actresses ain't on social media.
Even scarlet Johansson isn't on social media, the few on social media post like 1 time in 6 months.
Like it's crazy how they avoid social media unlike our Africa female actresses.

That's surprising. By the way, I finally watched rings of power yesterday, and it's not bad. I'd give it 7/10. At some point, I didn't want the episodes to end, I felt angry that it was ending. Nice plot, I don't understand what the outrage about it was about. I almost missed out on a good series because of bad ratings from people who are mostly traditional and close minded branding every thing they can't understand or vibe with as "woke nonsense".

Downloaded S1E1 of Industry to see what the hype is about.

Four minutes in and I can already see I will be seeing the rest of the series through.

Hopefully I will finish season one to three before the end of the year.

The bolded says it all, when a series or a movie doesn't resonate with them, they feel they are to forced other people to hate the movie or series too.
Individuals that wants to force their opinions on people, forgetting that as individuals we all have different taste in life.

Whats even more baffling is how they see a good series and then try to hate talk the series, it's what they do.
They just wake up in the morning and look for something to hate and the rings of power fits very well because it's a high budgeted series.

Rings of power season 2 is a massive hit and that's just the honest truth.
