I tell you immediately that is decoded that dude will be forgotten ![]() I would say C ronaldo has many skills that Messi doesn't feature . .Such as free kicks, deep speed and so on . . . . ![]() I don't fully support Siasia much . . On goalzz website-which is well reputed and internationally viewed, the ties is stated as Nigeria first vs Argentina First. So for those of you that down-play this match, FIFA and the soccer world might not see it as such. After-all this same Argentine team beat Paraguay 4-2 just some few days back. Haba Nigerians should appreciate these guys for once. |

Guinness should tell us what terms and conditions they had with Argentina prior to this match. How can they field a weak team like this? People should stop calling this match a friendly because it was way too below a friendly match.COME TO THINK OF IT, how can a Nigerian team[AFRICA], play a match with a SOUTH AMERICAN team in Abuja and have a Niger referee[AFRICAN] officiate the match? Argentina played this match with no member of their National team first eleven! I seriously believe Guinness have a hidden Agenda concerning this match! Who knows? Guinness wouldn't have been able to cover the cost if Argentina had fielded their strong team! 4-1 indeed! |

Hey!! but how come the 19years old Joel Obi has not been considered for the U-20 team? That guy will go places o. With him and Ahmed Musa in the U20 team coupled with players like Nwofor, Stanley Okoro, Azeez and Kayode we can lift the WYC. |

Re: Nigeria Vs Argentina 2011 Friendly: 4 - 1 (Eagles Thump Argies) by tbaba1234: 11:59pm On Jun 01, 2011 |
mikuz: How many Nigerian players play regularly in the leagues they play in? Joel Obi is still in Inter's Team B:: Mikel is no longer an automatic starter::: A lot of our players play in the lesser leagues. Norway, Turkey, Ukraine::: Ruben Marco and Mateo Musacchio were instrumental in steering Villarreal to the Europa League semifinal. Nicolas Otamendi and Fernando Belluschi have just helped FC Porto to win the Portuguese Liga and Europa cup Franco Jara and Nicolas Gaitan were a core part of the Benfica team that won the 2010/11 Portuguese League Cup Final I could keep going on!! |

True! I'm not knocking the Super Eagles victory over Argentina tonight cos I've always maintained Argentina is a top football playing Nation with lots of quality players and those selected to play against the Super Eagles would still be quality opposition and give us a very good game. Moreover, on a club by club basis, their team looks stronger and better than our Super Eagles. . .on paper But to be fair, only two players (Pablo Zabaleta & Ezequiel Garay) who were in the squad that played against the Super Eagles today made the 26-man provisional squad announced for this year's COPA America taking place next month. See the 26-man provisional team list below. . .
Still, it was a good game and victory over ARGENTINA and if we can beat Ethiopia on Saturday, we should go up in the monthly FIFA ranking. Congrats to SiaOne, Congrats to the Super Eagles and Congrats to GEJ. There is definitely something about these Bayelsa men ![]() |

mikuz: Na lie you talk. . . most of the players are first team regulars in their clubs
This is pure crap! Countries do it all the time in friendly matches ie The host country bringing referees from a neighbouring country to officiate the match. In fact some even use a ref from the host country to officiate the match. For example, in the July 13, 2010 female football friendly match between US Women National team and Sweden that was hosted by the USA in Omaha, Nebraska, the Ref was from the host country. . .an American lady called Felicia Mariscao. Point is, as long as the ref is certified and graded by FIFA to officiate at that level, the Ref can be from any where. . . doesn't matter after all it's just a friendly and besides refs are supposed to be unbiased professionals ![]() Even FIFA has been known to use Refs from one of the continents of two opposing teams to officiate matches in competitions so that your logic nor follow. |
