Also note that the N259k is gross so my take home could be around N230k or thereabouts.

Now here’s the challenge. This new job is in Kaduna(the state capital) and I’ve not been to kaduna before. So, house what do you think about this. I need your candid, sincere and factual advice on this matter.

As someone that has stayed in both cities I would have preferred Kaduna but for the current insecurity ravaging the north and the possibility of religious crisis I'll advise you remain in Ibadan to enjoy peace of mind

Please kindly move to Kaduna, for what you hear on media is different from reality. I can categorically tell you that Kaduna is safe. That's where I spent most of my life. You end such amount there is better than someone who ends 500k here in the south, that's because cost of living there is cheaper.

Back to the matter, I will advise you to pray and seek God's mind on these issue because you can't trust your&human judgement alone on issues like this. He alone knows the end of a thing even before it began.

Looking at the pay, everyone will say Kaduna, but considering insurgencies, then we'll say Ibadan, but then the truth is no where is safe in Nigeria other than in the secret place of the Most High and that is why it is better to know where he wants you to be.

Looking at the pay, not all that glitters are gold, you don't know if it comes with a price later in future that you can't afford. That is why I implore you not to choose based on the money nor the location but based on where God wants you to be and wherever He choose for you, you can be sure of safety and prosperity. I’ve been to both places and currently in Kaduna. If you want to enjoy your money and live a healthy life, go to Kaduna. I’m currently in Kaduna and life here is super easy.

Go to Kaduna my brother. Kaduna and Kano is the hub of business development and operations in the North. Ibadan is sitting on old glory of days past, I am a yoruba man but Oyo state is light years behind Kaduna state in terms of services and job. If not for Lagos, Ibadan wouldn't be how it is today. If Ibadan could pick up it should have done so by virtue of it's closeness to Lagos but the other Southwest state is really making it difficult but Kaduna, except for the insecurity is a really developed city and ancient too.

Also understand that 75% of anything produced or imported to Nigeria is sold in the North. Apart from Ibadan and ogbomoso I'm not sure there is any other city in Oyo state that can boast of economic activity...I stand corrected.. but in Kaduna you have cities like Zaria, Kafanchan and Kaduna North especially is a hub of economic activity on it's own. And there is the closeness it has with Abuja which is really important.

I will advise you to go to kaduna on one condition, that your work is restricted to township not rural area being agricultural related job. I doubt that your job will be restricted to such areas alone. But above all, stay where your mind wants you to be.
There was a time I journeyed to Borno in favour of my company even when they didn't made it compulsory as part of my journey. I went because when I got to Kano, I learnt about the potentials there that could benefit my company and my spirit said go and I went, knowing fully we were at the peak of Boko Haram activities in Maiduguri then. So my brother, it is up to you, however don't go for money. Success
