Anambra is now officially gazetted as major oil producing state in Nigeria. In the letter that was signed by the professor Ibrahim Gambari the chief of staff to the president, all the details to that effect were stated.

There are two major oil and gas exploration/drilling companies currently drilling oil in Anambra state. Anambra will start immediately to receive oil revenues.

How does joining the oil producing states translate to development
Abia,Imo, Niger Delta states plus Ondo have all been beneficiaries of this largesse. It didn't make them super-powers or exceptional state. Until Nigeria is re-organised and the federating units are completely independent, even if Anambra state is given the whole oil Wells in Nigeria, it will not make much difference. The recent VAT collection victory by River State will make better impact to Anambra state, than this so called oil, if applied. Oil is OLD lipsrsealed

Aawaaa Oryel! awa Oryel!
The thieving IYC and INC will find their way to Anambra now to claim they are Ijaw who migrated to Anambra in 1000 BC. Lol.

The thing is, most Igbo people do not care for oil and shit. They want a prosperous place where they can excel and do business. They hate poverty and despise begging.
They want an environment where they can import and export in peace. Work hard and make money. Go to their country homes/village homes, and sit in their big mansions and enjoy with Umunna.

Oil exploration comes with pollutions which threatens a big part of the culture (having a green garden to plant onugbu, ugu and other green plant so they can eat fresh from the ground).
The Igbo people themselves care less about oil, they believe that there is no oil money domiciled underneath the earth greater than your own hands and brains.

Of what use is being an oil producing state with only 3% allocation when you can be a non-oil state and get 30% to find oil in your state

This is a battle that has been on for over 15 years but the Mallam that is in charge of putting his signature refused to do so because na Anambra

For people who don't understand how this will impact Anambra, let me briefly explain

Anambra has about 13 oil well and counting, and there has been oil exploration going on over the years in Anambra but they don't get to share in the profit thereof

Now it will add a little money to the state income

And with the recent victory of Wike over FIRS, Anambra state which is 6th highest VAT earner Nigerian states, I think the next focus if the state is to key into Rivers state victory

This will see the percentage of southern states earnings increasing marginally to what it's supposed to look like while those that are killing their businesses with religion extremity and terrorism/banditry are loosing out gradually

Coming up next is Enugu state......there was oil exploration in some part of Nsukka before the war, I think it was the war that scared away the whites there.

Though all these breakthroughs would have waited till Igbos enter the LAND OF THE RISING SUN and liberate Africa from backwardness...

You can't be an igbo man without PRIDE...
