As for the questions many of you are still seeking answers to, almost everything has been treated in earlier posts especially between February and October. All you need do is find time to go through the thread and be informed.

Furthermore you need to know that this is something you can do all by yourself, as it is a pretty straightforward stuff and you do not even need to pay anyone for anything

All I can say is that most (if not all) require sufficient knowledge of German, as it is the primary language of teaching at that level. I can't really say much (specifically) about it, as I presume u want to know about the quality of learning. Generally, the standard is really high, especially if it's a technical course, as there are lots of high tech research going on.

You should go through the requirements again 'cos I want to believe they must have specified their reference scale. That notwithstanding, a G.P. of 3.0 should suffice as it's about equivalent to the same "grade" in the German system. All in all just apply as you have nothing to lose.

The best thing to do is to apply for a scholarship, if you want to have a better time and easier studies. Someone here mentioned http://daad.org which has a lot of information on scholarships that universities offer. I'd also suggest that you read more about studying in Germany and the system there http://www.mawista.com/en/study-in-germany/ .

It's much easier to get the student visa if you have a scholarship, especially in heavy fields like engineering or science.

Thanks for your candid info. Actually if someone wants to apply for scholarship in undergraduate level,is it after s/he has gotten admission will definitely make the application? And is DAAD scholarship restricted to some universities or once you've got admitted to any university in Germany,you are eligible to such grants. they sure recognize them at the German embassy then (2yrs ago)
So I'm pretty sure they are still a force to reckon with now.

You are really going to waste that money, you think German embassy is not aware of these websites selling conference IVs? If German embassy calls to verify that conference and it turns out that there is no actual conference taking place you will be banned from entry any Schengen country
for presenting misleading info in your application.

A guy once said that he apply with his degree from imo state univ to study in germany for master but instead the admit him for BSc..so they no even recognise his bsc, wat a waste..naija degree aint recognise talkless of HND..only Uk can accept dat cos all dey want his d money

churchil: Procedure to obtaining a German student visa.
1. Search for any school of your choice offering ur course online preferably thru www.daad.de
2. Downlaod d schools admission application form, either in english or german ,fill the form,attach ur waec result or proof of previous studies plus ur passport foto and send the parcel through a registered Post to the university. Do this to about 5 universities and wait for an admission letter from them within 2months. The general admisson aplication deadlines are 15th jan and 15th july resp for winter and summer semester.
3. After receiving admission letter, go to D embassy to help u open a blocked account with N1.8M in ur name at Germany or u get a sponsorship declaration letter from sombody in germany.
4. With admission letter and d financial stuff solved. Go to the german embassy website and download and appointment letter form for student visa. Fill it and send it to d embassy for ur interview date in 3wks time.
4. You ,ll be issued a 3months visa which will be extended to 2yrs upon ur arrival @germany. It will be extended every 2yrs for d rest of ur study period upto 10yrs incl masters or maybe PHD.

NB. You can apply for language visa or study visa direct. Language visa lasts for 8months max and u must return to nigeria to apply afresh for a student visa. It cannot be converted to study visa in germany.
Both has d same requirements for obtain a german visa.
I travelled with a sponsorship letter from my inlaw in Germany. It costs the sponsor just 20euro to obtain a sponsorship form from the local govt office over there and not more than 30mins.

Regarding the sponsor letter,i think it should be sent to you directly and together with other doc to apply for ur visa.

Ok, if your friend in German wants to help you then let him help you establish contact with the German part dealer, exchange emails with the dealer, in that email discus about the parts you want to buy, before requesting for invitation letter, these letters will form part of your visa application package.

The money you have now is enough but without adequate documentations you will struggle to get a business visa.
