He was our pastor in Lagos

Me and mum worship there, there's one prayer programme every Monday or Tuesday morning like that, I always pray for admission before I go to work. My mum doesn't work and we didn't have much then

You always sow ur first fruit (salary) in this church and you have to give some stipend to the GO's family to buy provisions and juice so that they can remember u in prayers, if u don't do those things, pastor Tunde will insult u in his sermons

So I gained this admission to Ibadan poly, my mum approached pastor Tunde to help me with some money because I had saved some but it wasn't enough....

He said we should go and pray grin

When he always tax us for money, why didn't he just pray instead of taxing us

I lost the admission and then I left the church

You for let him preach
what the poor need from men of God is not donation but Preaching or teaching

Luke 4:18
18 The Spirit of the Lord is upon me, because he hath anointed me to preach the gospel to the poor; he hath sent me to heal the brokenhearted, to preach deliverance to the captives, and recovering of sight to the blind, to set at liberty them that are bruised,

Luke 7:22
22 Then Jesus answering said unto them, Go your way, and tell John what things ye have seen and heard; how that the blind see, the lame walk, the lepers are cleansed, the deaf hear, the dead are raised, to the poor the gospel is preached.

Acts 6:2 (NLT)
2 So the Twelve called a meeting of all the believers. They said, “We apostles should spend our time teaching the word of God, not running a food program.

Nigerian youths should work. They should stop video game, girls chasing and begging .

Pro 6:6 — Pro 6:11 (KJV Strong's)
6 Go to the ant, thou sluggard;
consider her ways, and be wise:
7 Which having no guide, overseer, or ruler,
8 Provideth her meat in the summer,
and gathereth her food in the harvest.
9 How long wilt thou sleep, O sluggard?
when wilt thou arise out of thy sleep?
10 Yet a little sleep, a little slumber,
a little folding of the hands to sleep:
11 So shall thy poverty come as one that travelleth,
and thy want as an armed man.

Pro 26:13 — Pro 26:16 (TLB)
13  The lazy man won’t go out and work. “There might be a lion outside!” he says. 14  He sticks to his bed like a door to its hinges! 15  He is too tired even to lift his food from his dish to his mouth! 16  Yet in his own opinion he is smarter than seven wise men.

Never done it

But my mentor once credited me when I told him I was stranded and he's usually a giving-type

Givers don't lack, you know?

Let's look at it from two sides

1. Does a Pastor have to give? I believe it wasn't in his job description (lol). Again, he's a human with family to take care of and needs like us. I believe giving as a must is up to him

2. But if we look at it from the way things ought to be, these are shepherds right? A shepherd cares right? It's just normal for them to seek to meet their members' needs (although they're not God) or find an alternative that could help

Now, this is on a normal basis

Forget those who take it as a business
