Dear Nairalanders, please i will be brief on this as i need your advice and suggestions.
I am a young man who has been planing to settle down with the girl i have prayed for over 3 years for God to reveal toe if she's my wife and i her husband, God actually answered that prayer and showed us both that we are meant for each other.
Fast forward to 2019, while we were chatting via WhatsApp, I asked her for her Genotype and she said it's AA, after about 5months or so, I asked her again claiming to have forgotten just for me to be so sure, she sent the results to me again showing AA for the two times she had ran the test, then she asked me for mine and i told her it's AS because i knew this right from when i got admission to higher institution and secondly when i got my first job because media l was conducted and this was between 2008 and 2016 same thing with her.
Just last month we approached the church to officially inform them about our intentions to get married and we were scheduled to run a test in a military hospital in PortHarcourt, which we did and the result came out last Sunday and the church called me to come collect the result after Sunday service, brethren lo and behold, our results came out AS & AS���� and I quickly called her to rerun her test again in Enugu where she base and yesterday, the result came out AS again.
I was shocked as the girl broke down I'm tears. It has not been easy on both of us, Marriage list has been collected and I'm about to pay the bride price.
Please i need advice as somethings have already been done concerning this marriage

somebody is not being entirely honest here. And you said she did the test twice or did you mean she sent you the result twice? If the test was conducted once and her result came out to be AA i could have said the hospital probably made a mistake(yes,it happens). But twice? c'mon!

This don happen before wella, a girl don tell one of my guy se she be AA cause she don fall in love and my guy after some time stumble on her medical result, found out she was actually AS and coded it and later ask the girl again the girl still look am for face tell am that she be AA now, my guy just jejely leave the relationship ooo, cause Omo SS child is not easy to handle ooo, unna love go dry

That's a risky thing to do. I won't pray for a child with sickle cell even for my enemy. Medical expenses will literally pauperize the family. Why not just avoid it,call off the relationship; hard but possible. But if Op feels the love is strong enough with enough money, and patience, then by all means go right ahead, but don't say you weren't warned.

Devastating as the situation may be, you both have no choice but to call off the relationship, as that is the most sensible and humane thing to do (forget about marriage list and bride price)
No amount of love is worth bringing a child into the world to suffer.
With time, you both will be fine.

You already made up your mind that the test, not your heart, gets to dictate for you who you will marry, so what exactly do you need advice for?.

Or, she "declared by faith" her Aa Genotype, only her faith didn't work or something.

Stop the relationship, deliberately birthing an SS child is a sin.

The result was doctored. That lady can do more harm to you in marriage. Be grateful you've not married her and nurturing another man's kid!

Moreover, you should find an AA lady to marry.

Why is everybody saying she lied, situations like this has occurred several times.

A close friend also thought she was AA till she has her test during NYSC at a military hospital and then it was AS, she argued and argued that she has done it from different labsand was AA, they agreed to run it again and it was still AS

Its a very common issue, that's why you have to go to reputable Labs for Genotype tests.

That's why churches use standard labs/ hospital for marriage health screening.

Good thing you guys know now so you can do the right thing.

I dont think she lied cos you guys just started dating wen she revealed her genotype to you but as it stands, i wudnt advice birthing SS kids... its not going to be an easy journey if you decide to go on with d wedding plans..think about very well.. I'm so sorry.

You guys need to meet your personal family doctor and run the test together with out telling the doctor your past test results

Whatever you guys get, you accept your faith

But if it's negative and you don't want to loose her, you can be married and you guys will have a child through surrogacy or adoption

The strength of your love will help you guys if you choose the later
