Many of them have not even seen what these foreign currencies look like. They just sit in Nigeria and typing nonsense. How can someone say 1 pound is nothing in UK when they are still spending penny and pence

Sharap.

1 pound gets you absolutely nothing in the UK.

If Nigeria want to make their money stronger, they need to stop importing and start manufacturing to export

But the last time Buhari closed border to boost local production, some bigots said he is targeting a tribe.

What stop you and your tribe to start producing What those bigots are importing

Stop believing rubbish, you have just been fooled by your imaginary friend.
Even the pounds we are talking about, what can you use one pound to buy in UK?
We all know what we can buy with #780.
Devaluation of naira should be a blessing to us, but we are too lazy to work on the advantages.
Devaluation of naira is more profitable to diasporians.

One pound might not be much money in uk but it can buy u a full roasted chicken after 10p.m at Sainsbury.

It can buy u cornbeef pasties, jam donuts and other pasteries at greggs

It can buy u bread at tesco, asda, Sainsbury etc

Above all u the minimum wage is £7/hour. So in 10mins you can earn 1 pound. For those working in jobs paying above minimum wage you can earn 1 pound in less than 5 minutes but can you earn 1000 naira in one hour

What a moronic excuse. The same dullard who closed the Benin border did nothing to close the Niger border through which more contraband passes because Niger Republic is a landlocked country unlike Benin Republic. BMCs need brain upgrades.

#780 can get a plate of meal in Lagos and more in other part of the country, while 1pound can get you a plate of meal in any part of UK

Just see your defence of failure.

Meal is free in the UK if all you have is £1.

I bought dollar 160 in 2013,
That was the average dollar rate before GEJ left power in 2015

That was before 2011 election.
Naira was less than #22 to dollar when Obasanjo came into power in 1999
Nigeria did not start in 2015.

1€ is equivalent to #650 in Nigeria, which means I can get many loaves of bread in Nigeria

By the time 1pound will be equivalent to #4000 you will still be happy 4000 can get you loaf of bread until your country turns to Zimbabwe

Then you will realize 1 on 1 there is nothing stopping #1 to be equivalent to 1 pounds

Nigerian don't need a strong currency, know this and know peace.
You comparing Zimbabwe situations to Nigeria means you don't really know what is happening.
Yuan is among the weakest currency in the world, yet their economic is among the first and second in the world.

President Muhammadu Buhari should please do more to redeem the image of Nigeria's battered currency.
1 pound sterling to N780 is just unacceptable. Just a little change and it is N1,000 (our highest denomination)

What can Buhari do? The man does not understand even the basics.

Every indice got worse under Buhari:

Devaluation of the Naira

Worse insecurity

Higher inflation

Increased corruption

You present your argument like you know what you are taking about, it is either you are doing it intentionally to confuse the people that are not in the know and hoping to learn one or two things by reading the comments or just personal ignorance.

Countries intentionally keep their value lower than countries they trade with for business reasons, exportation and investment reasons example is China and US, same with Canada and US. The currency is stable and available while some other countries are simply failing to manage the stability of their currency because they don't have the exporting capacity and rather than accept the challenges they will rather blame anything else.

In the UK like so many people already educated you so I won't repeat all they already mentioned, a pound can do a lot of things, there is even a store called pound store where everything is around a pound.
