Kinematics: If it's just about oil, how come the major oil producing states with just 5 million population and their massive oil wealth not ahead of Lagos with National population burden and 20 million plus people? Kaduna state is one of the top 5 IGR leaders, ahead of many major oil states, so kindly explain to us how the FG invested in Kaduna or made Kaduna top 5 IGR states? Kano is generating more than the SE states, so is the FG also responsible for this? I don't see the logic and common sense in your post. 5 Likes |

Dsalvo: Is Lagos no longer benchmarking itself with global cities, or what is the meaning of world class projects that Tinubu and his goons have used to wow Lagosians in over two decades of massive corruption and looting that will make Abacha green with envy? Don’t you think that genuine Yorubas will benchmark themselves to the best, instead of a “cesspool of misrule and leadership incompetence”? Is that not what you do for personal progress in line with the saying that- eshin iwaju ohun ni ti eyin nwo sare? |

The NBS said that Lagos state recorded the highest IGR of N418.99 billion, closely followed by Rivers with N117.19 billion and the FCT with N92.05 billion. Kaduna without oil is competing with Delta with massive oil wealth and allocations, Kaduna without oil wealth is ahead of major oil wealth states like Akwa Ibom and Bayelsa. So, what is responsible for the IGR success in Kaduna? Is it ports and the FG? Everywhere you turn, the FG excuse is a bogus, nonsense. Money can not buy success and good leadership, Lagos state is just blessed with good and competent leaders, period. 2 Likes |

aribisala0: Never you reply me with that Onitsha nonsense. A coast is a line where land meets a large expanse of water. I know you just read definitions without understanding it. So River Congo that divides Congo Brazzaville and Congo Kinshasa cannot be termed as a coast line and the lands close to the river cannot be termed "COAST" because its not a sea? Kinematics: lol @ goalpost shifting, your post that I quoted wasn't about Rivers state, but when confronted with facts, you ran and hide under Rivers state. Again, why is Kaduna state without oil is one of the top IGR states, ahead of Akwa Ibom, Bayelsa, major oil states? Do they also have ports in Kaduna or the FG developed Kaduna? This is the problem with people like you, you always bite more than you can chew. |

It's very laughable when people talk about Rivers. Rivers is the Richest in Nigeria simply because of oil, but even with the oil, it's still the second most indebted state after Lagos so the oil makes zero difference, it is still a very poorly managed state, the massive oil wealth, IGR and second-largest debt in Nigeria made no difference beyond common flyover, the same flyover that poorer states are building left and right, they have the best flyovers in Kano, not in Rivers. Money and oil wealth can not buy good leadership. 1 Like |

Kinematics:According to ...... IPOB or whom? Or you just made that legislation? According to your ridiculous definition Onitsha is coastal Which state in Nigeria does not have a coast? Sokoto and Borno are "coastal" In your desperation to be "right" you ignore the intrinsic contradiction with your earlier claim Kinematics: According to your IPOB logic Abuja is "coastal" or are there no rivers in Abuja. How does this coastal effect manifest in the fortunes of "vibrant " cities ? Is it a spiritual effect? The reality is that you are completely ridiculing yourself Coastal means by the sea/Ocean Not lying along a river 1 Like |

seguno2: You have no answer just mere hot air The things on ground is highly commensurate with available revenue. Otherwise more advanced cities would have been run with less than what Lagos has. Shame me with an example of a city spending less or same like Lagos and is more advanced. Stop speaking in superlatives and be more specific. Hint: Lagos spends less than 50k naira per citizen, compare to Cairo, Johannesburg, Cape Town, Nairobi etc. |

aribisala0: Mumu. Does Abuja share boundary with any country or any international body? Abuja is located in the hinterland of Nigeria and its only accessible via land or air, which already its a disadvantage. Worldwide cities close to large water bodies do better than those in the hinterland. I'll say this for the last time. Move the capital of Nigeria to any coastal state besides Lagos and see what it will be in 30yrs time. Even currently Abuja has already taken Air travel from Lagos as the city with the busiest airport based on recent figures. 1 Like 1 Share |
