*PLIGHT OF A RAILWAY MAN*.

Over the years, the plight of the railway man has been a better life/condition of service. Which has in turn become almost a taboo to ask for, the railway man is a very dedicated and disciplined civil servant, who has been taken for a ride too badly and for a very long time. May be this is because of how patient we are.

The railway man is in a category of workers who barely meet up their basic needs of food, health, tuition for the children and or self (meaning we can hardly keep a happy home front). We look tattered all the time wearing rags, feeding on trash, and living in hoods.

Little wonder our Hon Minister Rotimi Amaechi found a subtle way of mocking us thus saying "if u see a set of civil servants, u don't need to be told this is a railway staff" meaning we are easily identified by our appearance.

But now the needed has to be done and is already being done. The plight of the railway man has been taken out of the circle of railway and even to the media which means to the whole world, kudos to the leadership of the two in house Unions.

Our situation has gotten to its climax and already diminishing. We're implored to wage our supports in all possible ways, trusting, believing in our leaders and praying for them, it isn't easy.

To our leaders Comr. *Aliyu Mainasara and Comr. Amb. Luka I. Ajiji* and your cabinet members, we're praying for you and assuring you of our supports, this is in the interest of all. A better life is the plight of the railway man.
