Please I’m having a serious issue in making a choice here. There’s this “Federal” Micro Finance Bank that I submitted an Application to 2months ago and got an invitation for interview which is scheduled for tomorrow.

Comparing the Two

Current Job
1. 7-7pm.
2. Nothing like Career here not to talk of growth.
3. No time for self development.
4. Conducive co-workers
5. Friendly Boss
6. Salary 45k

Bank Job
1. Salary 40k
2. 8-4pm
3. 80% of the workers are above 35yrs
4. Time for self development.
5. I don’t know the Executives yet.

My main reason for posting here is that I want to learn programming but my current Job won’t give me the time.
The bank Salary and timing is just perfect for me but am just afraid incase thing’s doesn’t go as planned.

Banks don't close by 4pm, they stop attending to customers by 4pm.

The new job has NO monetary raise for you.

That is no bank job. That is slavery. You shouldn’t even be talking about it, but I won’t be surprised if you go for it. You prefer to snap picture in starched shirt with white wall as background.
You have said it all, I remembered when I was employed as a marketer and they use the full AC staff bus to convey us to another branch with our suit and 50k salary in mind, I just said in my mind that day while in hold up and looking at people by the road staring at us that they will be praying to one day be like this people who get to have a staff bus fully air-conditioned to themselves not knowing they are doing better.

Some people spend more than 40k per month on data.

If the microfinance bank job is a marketing one, forget the 8-4 time oooo. Na you go need to make time for yourself to do what you want.

Still, since you need time and the present job is not giving you the time, go ahead and go for the new job

Who told u bank close to staff by 4pm? If u went for marketing you are safe to close by 4pm but if you a teller or customer service there are two things involve either you close by 6-7 or you come work on week end. Think well

What about NIRSAL MFB?
Useku:
There is no such thing as Federal Microfinance bank.

Only two mfbs are linked to fgn in Nigeria, and they don't pay less than 150k at entry.

The Mfbs are NPf and BOI mfbs.

Get your facts so we can offer our bit.

Thanks

I work/worked in a microfinance bank. I dropped my resignation letter December. No time for personal development . Toxic bosses and co. Closing time is 5pm but I leave the bank 6.30pm. Than I get home 9pm and walk up of 5am the next day for a salary of 65k and I spend half of it on transport and feeding. Bank work is slavery
