Fraudulent Bank Workers, Here's My Experience.. by Nobody: 2:23pm On Dec 03, 2021
I was at school broke one day when my Mum's daughter sent me some cash.
She normally sends me cash through WU transfer and I'll go to the bank with the necessary documents to pick the cash.
Something happened recently that shocked me, I was at the counter that day processing my transaction when this banker was asking me how much I'll tip him if it went successfully, actually I didn't have money on me and I prefer collecting the cash in dollars directly.
This banker was getting personal with me asking who the sender is to me since our names don't match (Mother is not Nigerian). I told him stuffs plainly but I guess he wasn't satisfied and went ahead talking but I ignored him. The money was ready for pickup and he was insisting on converting it to naira so he could deposit it in my account but I'm not banking with them either, he delayed me for some time lying that they're having dollar shortage lol. I knew all these tricks, maybe he was doing all that so I could tip him anyway because I told him I didn't have any cash on me at the moment, he even offered giving me cash but the rate he gave me wasn't good so I insisted on exchanging outside. I was getting angry already because I asked him properly if they had dollar bills there and he confirmed they had, at the end of everything I exchanged outside. On my way out he asked me to give him my number, I think he thought maybe I'm a yahoo boy or so, he even asked to refer any of my guys there for any international transaction lol, normally I do tip cashiers after every transaction but I was determined not to give this guy because he made it seem like an obligation.
I've heard from people how bankers collaborate with scammers to do fraud and I don't think this cashier I encountered is an exception, It's really shocking and disheartening that this is happening and nothing has been done yet.

You are right!!

I can remember when I first opened my UBA ACCOUNT, The banker that registered me, like the man that took me through everything, because that was my first account, I was still a teenager then, So when opening the account, he asked me if I had cash to deposit in the account, I told him NO, that I was expecting money from my uncle far away, that's why I had the urge to open the account, so he asked me how much I was expecting, I innocently told him about 100k or so, and that was what I was expecting from my uncle too, so a day or so passed after I opened the account, my uncle sent the money, it wasn't up to 3 days I got the money, a number called me and told me everything about my account, that my BVN is this and that, my name is this and that, and mind you there were all right, so he asked for OTP, that they wanted to upgrade my account cause the first money that entered it was huge, and this number that called me was exactly the voice of the banker that opened my account for me, Like exactly his voice because I'm smart and very sensitive, but before then, I kept asking myself, this is a new account, I haven't registered anything with my Debit card or whatsoever, so how can someone know everything about my bank details if not someone from the bank, and the guy was very fresh, na there I Sabi say this one no dey survive by His monthly salary, he's a big time Yahoo boy, This country ehnnn, I read a thread here about someone who got scammed and wanted to commit suicide in the bank, he asked the bank to block his account after he got some unusual debit alert which they told him they did, and after some hours, he still got debit alerts amounting to over 400 and something thousand naira..

*BACK TO MY STORY* : I didn't take it personal, I wanted going there with with my bro to harras him inside the bank, because I knew it was him

We can't even trust where our money stays anymore, really sad.
But seems nothing happened to your cash after all.
