Osasjohne: Afenifere, Ohaneze, Arewa etc are tribal organizations, their constituency is tribe. ACN,PDP etc etc are political organizations. Their mission is to win elections and to damage the opposition, they are not. If you cannot distinguish between an ethnic organisation and a political party that is your failure of intelligence not the fault of the political parties. |

joefelin2345: When you eventually present your preferred southern candidate , will only your regional vote make him president? So you expect any self respecting northerner to read your post and go queue up to vote against a northerner for your southern candidate? So you make it a sin to vote for a northerner and make it righteousness to vote for southerner. I'm watching how far this your upside down politics will take you. 2 Likes |

joefelin2345: If it serves their interest the best to vote their party candidate. That's why elections are keenly contested in SW, results are not known before election. When you assure failure of 95% support once is of PDP why won't you end up with kerosene governor? What's the need to perform? 2 Likes 1 Share |

AsampeteNwaanyi:Cross River state is under APC The people of Bayelsa voted APC massively for an APC candidate in the Governorship election before the supreme court installed a governor for them. The people of the South South will vote for Tinubu and the APC massively in 2023. They are not hate filled people like Igbos. |

safarigirl: The same VP and president position some take so serious that they are killing 10 virgins to make bullet proof and eliminating their intellectuals like Dr Akunyili, monarchs etc over? If there's no value in those positions why are they killing themselves over it? Those who got it without having to kill for it won't appreciate the value. Except you miss road this is political section not religion or cultural section. We are here to discuss political strategy, ambitions, positions attained, successes and failures. If you are looking for sermons go to religion section. The gains for SW has been rehashed through this thread. Many important approvals PDP sat on for 16 years for mega projects in Power, Seaports, railway etc that will create jobs in SW has been given. Now SW seeks to consolidate further and spread the prosperity further inland for all Nigerians. Nigerian economy is predicted to double in the next 8 years, which side do you want to belong when it happens? Under blockade fighting a war or on the winning side as usual? 2 Likes |

DubaiLandLord1: dont waste your time arguing with these idiots. Whoever APC presents as candidate in 2023 will win the lection and APc does not need SE votes. The SE vote is the most inconsequential vote in Nigerian politics today because it does not affect/change the outcome of ANY presidential election. Secondly APc has made inroads into the SS. it will not win the SS because that is core PDP but APC dont need to win the SS to win the presidential elections, they just need to get a few votes (everything counts towards the total). The only thing that can stop APC in 2023 is internal implosion. PDP is so damaged, I cannot see big hitters leaving APC to join PDP, what is possible is some members of APC leaving for form a new party which could throw the whole race wide open. But as things stand now, there is no possibility of APC losing or of PDP winning in 2023. 1 Like |

safarigirl: The exchange rate PDP met at 22 naira and left at 198 to a dollar, how's that stability? Remove steadily increasing Oil prices what policy did PDP put in place to make the economy stable an immune to oil shock? Why did the PDP economy growth rate tumble immediately oil prices crashed in 2014? The entire world is going through a turbulent time, and it's certain PDP that can't manage plenty to deliver power or infrastructure would have failed very woefully if asked to manage scarcity. 1 Like |

What I've learnt about politics in Nigeria is that it can be very dirty, nasty and brutal, and in the quest to attain power, politicians can do unimaginable things. Looking at sw Acn for instance one could see how they threw their fellow south westerner under the bus inorder to hold unto something. What this implies to me is that politicians don't care if you're from the same with them. What they care about us their common ideology and benefits . |
