Get it through your head it is not working because of mismanagement who have you seen travel the steel Billet all the way to the North. Look at Ghana and what the foreigners did in their aluminium industry where the aluminium was mined that is where they built the industry. Nigeria's case where the steel Billet come from is about 250 km away from where Elijah Steel plant is. It is known as illiteracy. Nigeria's problem the people are stupid and illiterate they want a Nigerian to do everything at the Nigerian can do nothing just Like Them government

exactly what am sayin too....and who planned it....??
not the same foreighners....??
you say this foreighners just didnt had no clue to do the same what they did in ghana in nigeria....??

you blame north too much....

Siemens will not make the power plants reach 25,000mw, Siemens will only make the transmission infrastructures to be able to transmit 25,000mw of power.

Nigeria's generating plants as at now can produce roughly 13,000mw, but only less than 6,000 can be transmitted, lest the transmission infrastructures collapse (the so called national grid collapse we know). Hence the need for the govt to contract the transmission project to Siemens in order to push the transmission limit to 25,000mw as Siemens has done in Egypt.

Go and learn d difference between generation and transmission.

Do you think the Siemens is doing it or it’s just the usual deceitful noise from the govt?
I am asking you this cause it’s seems you know a lot about it and probably work in the power sector.

Thanks for this explanation, it makes sense to me. I will go and read more but thanks.

Can't these mudafuckers build a 100k capacity power plant for pets sake... A country of 200million plus people.

That's at least $100bn for generation alone. Another $100bn will be needed to finance distribution and transmission. Then at least $20-30bn must be available to operate and maintain this complex system

How is that going to happen? Who will provide such funds? Without a viable path for cash flow?
You must think our capacity to raise funds is unlimited

This is not true, FG said it will start in the second quarter!

I hope so because a country of 210 million should have 120 million electricity capacity.

This report was from October 2021 :
The nation’s $2.3 billion Presidential Power Initiative, PPI, project, has come under threat, following a sharp disagreement between the Federal Government and Siemens Energy over local content, automation and counterpart funding.

Under the Memorandum of Understanding, MoU, signed between the government and its German ally, the initiative was originally conceived to supply 7,000 megawatts by December 2021, and additional 11,000MW and 25, 000MW by 2023 and 2025 respectively.

It cost that much if you intend to build a system across Nigeria, but if the power generation, transmission and distribution is regional and state-owned and focused they will require a fraction of $100 bn.

Egypt built three 5000 MW (total 15GW) for a grand total of $6.7 billion, this was the cost of the turbine, the transmission and distribution cost $2-3 billion.

It's nothing to do with the foreign company but the Nigerian mentality. Look at United States of America when Nigerians went to vote for three senators stupidly the senators have no electricity in their Village they're at 88% of the youth in their Village are unemployed they are no Road in their Village this is how stupid Nigerian people are even in developed countries . American news channels like fox NBC and ABC network i know mickey documentaries of the nigerian centres in america no electricity new job nothing india villages sport nigeria's in voted.for damn how funny. The problem with Nigerians they will only follow an idiot which can do nothing for them then they were foreigners to develop them after they're voted for some Nigerian idiots that is Nigerian mentality

Dude, what exactly are u saying? This isn't understandable

Nigeria is currently generating 13000mw when you add this 3000mw it will be 16,000mw. At of the 13000mw we are only distributing less than 4000mw making about 9000mw idea. So yes it is the distribution that is the problem and that is why Nigeria contracted Seamen to come and increase our distribution to 25000mw to accommodate our 13000mw+3000mw and additional mw which is being worked on.
ok noticed waiting patiently for the outcome
