Look at Ghana and what the foreigners did in their aluminium industry where the aluminium was mined that is where they built the industry. It cost that much if you intend to build a system across Nigeria, but if the power generation, transmission and distribution is regional and state-owned and focused they will require a fraction of $100 bn.

Egypt built three 5000 MW (total 15GW) for a grand total of $6.7 billion, this was the cost of the turbine, the transmission and distribution cost $2-3 billion.

Nigeria is currently generating 13000mw when you add this 3000mw it will be 16,000mw. At of the 13000mw we are only distributing less than 4000mw making about 9000mw idea. So yes it is the distribution that is the problem and that is why Nigeria contracted Seamen to come and increase our distribution to 25000mw to accommodate our 13000mw+3000mw and additional mw which is being worked on.
