I have once gone to an occasion where food finished before it reached a particular lady where she was sitting, next thing we saw was tears rolling from the woman's eyes.
So I wonder.

What brought up this event is over here in my house, this festive season since last week come am tired of eating jollof and fried rice, greased with chicken.
Too many left overs, I ate from a friend's house yesterday evening, forgetting I still have mine to consume. The one My girlfriend brought still in the freezer.
And my mother waybilled my own portion of chicken and rice yesterday evening...

But as we approached January ending to February I will still be among those people fighting for party rice at different wedding and burial ceremonies I attend.

I always eat before going to an occassion to avoid stories that touch the heart.
What seems to baffle me is how supposedly mature adults fight over food at parties.
I have better food at home.

This is the right and reasonable thing to do because I don't know why someone would go to a party hungry and then get angry if food doesn't get to them. Maybe there is just something about outside food for people that I don't know.

Don’t you realize some people go to a party solely because of the food? Some may not even have food at home.

I'm not talking about those people. For those ones, it is understandable but how do you explain that of someone who has more than enough but still fight for food at parties? I'm saying it because I have seen this too many times. People who appreciate outside food more than their homemade food.
