Its a good thing if Ijaws want their independence as a separate independent country, its called self determination Unfortunately for Ijaws, I dont see any seriousness on their part for any independence and this trying to join an existing court case is a good example If you are really looking for your freedom, you will not be waiting for a court case. They have never held one rally, they have never protested, they have never done anything beyond talking I expected by now to see hundreds, if not thousands of Ijaw youths pounding the streets of Yenagoa, Portharcourt and Nembe and shock the world with their demands for independence But who am I kidding? Its probably never going to happen as they dont have that sort of determination 27 Likes 2 Shares |

Ijaw alone produces over 90 percent of all Nigeria's crude oil, but all we get in return is marginalisation and balkanizations into more than six states, of which are Ondo, Edo, Delta, Bayelsa, Rivers and Akwa Ibom states, when all Ijaw areas are fully together, and share perfect boundaries with each other. Ijaw was never colonized. Not even one Ijaw person signed that 1914 amalgamation document. All Nigeria's offshore crude oil will also be of Ijaw Republic. 1 Like |

DitariDisciple2: Is everyone in the village in a 'sociocultural organizations' or is it 1 or 2 people who are from that place? Ethnic groups don't join groups. Many of them will go to Lagos and join Lagosian clubs and organizations, does that make their homeland Yoruba? What is the language spoken at the ijaw sociocultural organization because I know that Abua, and Degema people don't speak the same language 14 Likes 1 Share |
