I did this to my son’s hair
It’s my third time at it.I hope am improving
I can’t be spending $10 every two weeks
He is a toddler so not easy cutting his hair.

How old is he?

How did you keep him still?

You can't "barb" your son's hair. But you can give him a haircut.
Living in America doesn't mean one speaks good English though.

Stop this your inferiority complex! This is Nigerian English in a Nigerian forum.

Go on Quora and see Brits talk about terms Australians use that the don't understand or Americans talk about sentences the Scottish would use that makes no meaning to them even though all of them speak same English.

There is British, American, Australian, even South African English amongst many others. This is how we speak and it's a leisurely discussion. We no dey office. You wouldnt see Americans trying to speak like Australians or a Briton speaking like a Scott.

Besides, you sound pained. Grow up

It's a bad idea to convert

Some still do this things even after spending over a decade here...
And it has made them lived a very low life...not like they don't have money at hand...even some hav mansion back home in Nigeria...but their residence here is nothing to write about just because the conversation keeps telling them it's a waste of resources to get bigger apartments or latest ride..

You are absolutely right

$10 for kids and $35 for adults.
That means we're learning work here in naija ooo.
I can't imagine spending above #1,000 for hair wey we d Barb #500.
$10=4,500 or $35=15,750 for one barbing.

Re: I Barbed My Son’s Hair by TeeKings: 1:34pm On Jan 29, 2022
To those of you commenting how $10 is too much to cut hair, why can’t you guys see the need to actually appreciate those barbers on your street more by not down pricing the little change they ask you to pay. Cutting hair is not easy in Nigeria but because it looks so simple some of you thinks it’s not worth that #300 or #400 you are being asked to pay..

Unpopular opinion, children hair should cost most because it requires more efforts and stress

Investing your 10k dollars in Nigeria (Naira) when you don't have plans of living in Nigeria or spending Nigeria's Naira is a meaningless venture. Why would you want to be rich in a Nigeria you do not live in and poor or average in the US where you live? You no see Tesla or Walmart shares buy?

Just like living in shanties in Lagos and building empty mansions for rodents in the village because of cheap labour/land. F00lishness.

Why would I discourage intending migrants with that posts? cheesy Whoever is discouraged after reading that post have no business migrating to the US in the first place.
