Nnennachiji,
Yes, you did not only try, you did well.
You have saved some money for your family.
You have saved your son the exposure to some diseases he may contact from the Barber shop with their dirty foams, combs and brushes.
You have shown your son care and love.
I am sure your husband will appreciate this.
Please keep it up.

You need to go to a salon here and see how neat they are and how each tool are properly sanitized. Do not discriminate what you have no experience of.

Even here in naija, I do same to my son.
Not necessarily to save money, but I just enjoy experimenting and learning new things.

I already got my wireless clipper

The first self cut was so not perfect I had to go around with a Durag and a Basecap

But now it's looking okay

You turn akata finish. Just wear ball shirt and draw visible tattoo join.

Why not ask guys if there's a place you could get it cheaper like the Vietnamese barber?

I did this to my son’s hair
It’s my third time at it.I hope am improving
I can’t be spending $10 every two weeks
He is a toddler so not easy cutting his hair.

5k Naira for barbing a toddler? Ah, I am relocating to start a barbing salon. Will I pay tax, how much will be my take home?

Nnamdi Kanu will die in jail
Buhari really showed nnamdi Kanu real pepper. Pmb's boys lured the mumu to Kenya using prostitutes (hiv infected) and capturedvhim like a rat. Chai, what a shame on him and his equally mumu followers.

Thank you and well done but you no put patting for the boy to show his swagger.
Please make sure you take his pictures for future reference. Pictures are very important future references material if you know what I mean.
You are doing great.

Yea no doubt about it... His a kid so he may feel little uncomfortable...
Maybe the blade was too sharp..so the
shaping may create some pains for him...

Here in LA it's mostly $45 but I have a Spanish friend that helps with $35...

Anyway it's a clean cut

Re: I Barbed My Son’s Hair by flokii: 2:58pm On Jan 29, 2022
@OP So the boy's head is now your own practice specimen abi?.. why not open mini barbing saloon for boys in your vicinity so you'd become a perfect barber.

I was only stereotyping the akata lifestyle. In Houston, there are a few barbershop that barbs for $7. I learned they are Vietnamese.

Good you figured out what works best for you.

Yea, Houston is very cheap no doubt so I believe you can get the service way much cheaper compare to other states across the US....

I know some Vietnamese barbing shop here in L.A but I haven't try them...tho I'm barbing maself alrdy so it's ain't neccassry...

L.A is one of the most expensive States so we kinda pay on the high here..

My husband was at home when I did it
It’s more difficult for him because my son wants mommy

You can't spend $20 on your child's hair monthly? The haircut make sense.

It’s not just the money. He is a toddler not eligible for vaccination against corona. So reducing exposure too
