The blame should go to the military and the current state govts who have refused to do the needful.

Firstly, the school is now a govt school and the state ministry of education selects student for the schools, muslim and christian. Christian students are also selected into muslim schools.

Now it is not the fault of the parents or students.

Secondly, every Nigerian has a freedom of religion and practice. The muslim students have the right to wear their hijab. The christian students in muslim schools can not be forced to wear hijab.

It is now left for the govt to return the schools to their original owners so they can follow their own religious ethics.

I think there are Islamic school... Schools meant for Muslims ....the Muslim students can go to those school.. Islamic schools...and Christian attend their own Christian School.. simple.. problem solved.... because this problem of hijab keep on occuring every year.. kwara state government should use wisdom to solve this problem...there are Islamic schools

Since the year one of the Afojah Alfa preach against hijjab in one of the mosque in Agege Lagos , things wasn't alright with our hijjabith sisters anymore.

Why people from this side always like violence? Simple constitution governing the school, you won't follow. If you feel you can't adhere to the rules governing the sch, u simply remove ur child. Why protesting? Besides its a private sch not a government sch. Do to others wat you want them to do to you. The question is, will u allow a christian to attend a muslim sch without covering their heads or using the hijab? Don't use ur hijab to disorganise their dress code abeg. Make una park well jare. My own stand to this raging issue of religion is that, since the school is government owned institution and there not template that it will strictly for Christian student, and also that admittance to the school is through common entrance, the government that grant admission to the Muslim students know fully well that they can attend the school....

Therefore, if they still want to be giving admission to both religion and want peace to reign in the school since it was earlier established as BAPTIST school...

Best intervention to curtain this raging menace is to rename the School name to something like Government Secondary School OYUN.

I'm a CORPER currently serving in Niger state at one government secondary School, Lapai local government precisely..

The school is being both attended by the two major religion and Muslim dress code include the wearing of hijab while the Christian has their own mode of dressing also and there is no problem whatsover, the school is even dominated by Muslim because their percentage is somehow like 80% while the percentage of the Christian is like 20%.

I think best option is to rename the school name.
