By now we would have forgotten about fuel subsidy if not Tinubu and his urchins’ stupidity and malicious unpatriotism in 2012 when they mobilized their fellow social irritants to Ojota to protest against fuel subsidy removal.

Something he knows was imperative but he chose to play selfish politics with it.

Tinubu will never benefit from all of these his many treacherous acts.

The occupy Nigeria project in 2012 dented Gej and he did not recover from it. Then he was kicked out.

They should remove the fuel subsidy
Improve power supply.
Improve accessibility to clean energy [Solar]
Those of you kicking against the removal of fuel subsidy should know that Nigeria economy is solely dependent on oil revenue.
And PMS is used more than AGO, DPK and LNG combined.
Worst case scenario is that most of the subsidized products are diverted to other West African countries where they still market the product without subsidy.
Before federal government will realize more capital for infrastructure development in railways, education, health, agriculture etc.
Subsidy must be removed.
Don't expect state governments to pay salaries smoothly, employ people, increase workers salary and carry out infrastructural development without increase in Federal allocation.

Remove the Fuel subsidy Now!
It's high time we make a crucial decision for our future and damn the temporal consequences.

The one this present govt called fraud and scam. Can u see this a govt of deception.

Idiots that dont appreciate china and the largesse with their loans will soon learn that china has been Africa's best friend in a LONG time. As long as china sees that you are able to pay back, they lend you money. None of this exploitative IMF economic adjustment bullshit that results in serious hardship for citizens.

China is not ready to loan Nigeria again. FG is looking toward Europe again. If Africa wants to free from foreign powers including China, we should stop foreign loans and grow our economy slowly. That was what China did for decades.

Lol are we truly independent?that's the effects of neocolonialism and championed by Afro pessimists.....

How will IMF tell us what to do, are they going to share money to the citizens to use buy the fuel at exorbitant price?

The point you guys have not yet seen is that the so called revenue that would come from fuel subsidy removal will still be siphoned for coming election purposes and pockets of our politicians.

Nigerian will get less that 15 percent of it as drop down. That is definite.

Bro, haven't you see ln the tracks for.many years. . Our politicians will just impoverish the mercies and divide the monies as usual.

Who cares. . This is the only way the masses can get anything from these selfish leaders.

1.That's why we are a participatory democracy. We put pressure on our leaders to do the job well...

2.We would have more investment and more jobs...which beneift the masses

3.And we already beneift from other subsides...health is subsidsed, as is education in government schools.

4.If we want a subsidy, we have to pay from taxes on people, not from crude oil revenue. Price of crude fluctuates, forcing us to take loans. And we have to pay the loans back.

No, all this is the result of eleven years of reading and listening to understand subsides and why they are bad for us

Its a process that is still ongoing for me. I havr been, however opposed to subsidy retention since 2012
Hmmm..So you believe when subsidy is removed permanently, it will benefit us?

There are many problems though, we don't make money enough from tax Nigerians don't pay!! I won't blame them much, people don't earn enough to pay. 30K minimum wage is peanuts!!!. Things will get worse before they get better, I don't know if Nigerians can cope. IF their should be subsidy, it should be electricity, not fuel, but that's a discussion for another day.

Bad news: High prices (short term)

Good news: More investment in domestic refineries, savings, and eventual low prices, and more jobs for everyone in the oil industry, long term

Easy for you to say, ensconced in and snugly tucked within protective blankets wherever you are.
I pray you lose those warm blankets, and are compelled by the fates to experience the pinch exactly as it is felt by the unprotected.
And when that pinch of fate has sunk deep into your skin, then, I pray the fates present you with a chance to revisit this subject.

Thoughtless arsehole.

Deepsight indeed!!!

I like the way you reason...the dude you quoted is just another selfish Nigerian who has lost touch with the streets.

This message should be for those charlantants who kicked against the fuel subsidy removal in 2012, hiring failed musicians and corrupt politicians to dance "Alanta" at Ojota.
