MALIGNANTGuest:Mental issue started in marriage? Have you yourself ever gone to get yourself mentally evaluated or are you, like the vast majority of Nigerians out there, operating under the assumption that if you have never been evaluated, you are in the free and clear? Let me tell you something you are probably ignorant of. You see those people you call mogs and pastors, particularly those who claim to see spirits and spew all that spiritual jargon at you which many of you swallow without second thought? The probability is pretty high that they are instead mentally ill. And you know what that in turn says of you, their gullible followers and "spiritual " children? |

jaxxy: The funny thing is drug and alcohol addiction are what leads to violence not mental illness. |

ASHTAROTH: So blame the parents who probably always thought their daughter was possessed and treated her as such. |

nighter: Could be a trait you picked up from a grandparent that somehow skipped your parent. I'm aware it's genetic. That's why my point still stands. The fact that no one in her immediate family has mental illness doesn't mean her own children won't pick it up from a recessive Gene. Besides she might end up with a guy that treated himself to a point that he could pass for normal most times |

TalkTalkTwins:are you OK? Love is unconditional but marriage is not. You are to love your mother, a lady of opposite genotype, your sister and even your enemy, but can you marry them? |

nighter: I know they are different, but I do not think that fellow does. This is a general topic about different mental health disorders. I am asking the person a specific question for a reason and not you. If you do a research, you would know the difference clearly, but if you are ignorant like the person I am asking, you would not know the difference. You would not even know someone has OCD if you are ignorant of how mental health works, even less likely to spot NPD. I am asking that guy specifically, because I want to know how far his understanding of mental health issues go, I am not asking because I think both disorders the same. Please, follow conversations before you quote. Thank you. |

nighter: If you want to have a discussion with me out of nowhere, I will need you to not come at me as if we had a previous engagement, which we did not. I will not engage you henceforth, because it is too early in the day to get riled up by someone who is clearly more interested in making trouble than having a clear conversation. That you read everything I wrote and only picked out that line despite my thorough explanation, is testament to your actual intention. I will wait for the response of the person I asked a question, you can go about your day and find someone else to entertain yourself. |

Bobbiee: The disorders I mentioned aren't treatable, sir. Only people with low self esteem stay in unhealthy relationships. |

I think everyone has some form of mental disorder especially we Nigerians. The world is too tough a place for anyone to live in without experiencing mental breakdowns once in a while. |

Kobojunkie: I didn't generalize all mental health conditions. I was specific. And I'm asking here again which of those you have for me to understand where you're coming from. |

nighter: Please I'm going to assume you don't know anything about mental illness. Let me educate you. Most mental illnesses can be treated (but not cured). That's why we have therapy, drugs, psychiatric hospitals. Mental illness can only be bad if it's not managed. Once a person manages their illness (taking drugs, therapy, etc) they can easily pass for normal. 1 Like |

Bros, women all over the world prefer a man with a flat stomach compared to a fat man. Let's not make excuses for chubby people except they have a genetic disorder that prevents them from losing weight. Nigerian women don't really care about your physique as long as you can afford to take care of them. TheABOMINATION: |

BlueRobinns: I re-read and my comment remains the same. You blessed that guy for saying that people should show narcissists unconditional love. You don't know what you're talking about. You definitely haven't dealt with a narcissist |
