The economic, social and health impact of the covid pandemic are huge. The world is still grappling with it. Especially hit are employees that are used to working in an office, but now have to work from home. Most seem to have discovered the benefits of this new arrangement.

And most employees do not wish to return to the office. They now prefer to work from home, thanks to technology. They don't have to endure the nerve-racking feeling of rushing to the office. No need to prepare and commute long tiring hours to work and back home.

And the best part is that they can avoid the intense and draining experience of office politics, bullying, overt and covert victimization, intimidation and racism that is rife in almost every office space. "The closer physical contact one has with colleagues, the more uncomfortable and depressed one becomes," as claimed by some workers.

Workers now can enjoy the privilege of multitasking between office work and domestic chores. You can even take naps in-between activities or even run some errands. Some have confessed that they're now more relaxed and happier. They can now think clearly and have actually noticed improved productivity. And unlike when working in an office was rather mindless and monotonous for some, working from home has brought renewed focus and purpose into their lives.

The informal approach to an otherwise formal activity that working from home provides, has introduced a laid-back and fun twist to earning a living. And this may be a permanent situation for many. Although some staff have returned to the office due to the nature of their work, some have the option of only going to the office if need be. And more workers find every excuse not to visit the office as much as possible.

Relationships between staff seem to have improved, since their infrequent physical interactions elicit mostly positive vibes, unlike the former experience of getting bored of seeing same faces everyday.

Yes covid brought untold pain and hardship to humanity, but we can see that there are some positives, like the newly discovered benefits of working from home.
