Subsidy on fuel is not sustainable and must be stopped for the economy to have a breathe of life.
There is no subsidy on kerosene that common people use more often. Presently, the price is about N400.
There is equally no subsidy on diesel that most vehicles that convey agric produce from villages to cities use. Diesel currently sells at N550
Why then must there be subsidy on fuel?

Which one is APC regime, what is the difference, isn’t it same Umuahi pdp now APC? Isn’t it Obaseki APC, now pdp?

Or wasn’t it Rotimi Amaechi Mr pdp Rivers state, now Honorable Minister of Transportation?

Keep deceiving yourself, good thing you admitted yourself that you are doomed, you think blaming others exonerates you?
[/s] Bros, I already know you're a thoughtless idìot who sees evil and calls it good , but did you really need to come into my motions to prove it? grin

Anyway, I hope the 30k paid to you for APC bullshit will sustain you poverty-driven family when subsidy is removed. Nonsense grin

A bad time to be poor in Nigeria, though there's never a good time

Nigeria lost the way when President YarAdua pbuh increased salaries of public servants about 2007. That increased recurrent spending and left little for capital investments.

The salary increase was done to reflect the reality of high prices of goods and services of that particular time. Obasanjo too increased police renumeration. It is important to have a happy well paid workforce.

This is unlike the political office holders especially those in Federal and State H of A who spend anyhow and seek for even more income while FG will say they don't have money to take care of Lecturers, schools at all levels and yet they junket all over the world. Use the scarce money to give Talibans undecided

I am happy that subsidies in electricty has ended. Both the subsidy in electricity and the subsidy on petrol is a daylight robbery of poor Nigerians living in villages without roads and electricity because they are not benefitting from it yet government is not giving them subsudies in their own priority needs.

Apart from ending the corruption regime enabled by subsidues, abolition of subsidies will also attract private players into the sector to make huge investments.

May God bless Nigeria for ever.

On the mandate of Asiwaju Tinubu I stand #Iyanumashele

No pain no gain.
The government is not ready to hand over like telecoms because of political reasons which is affecting the economic growth.

Mind you, electricity is only subsidised on paper, if truly they subsidized, the issue of estimated billing will not be happening
If you're close enough to a manager of a DISCO, you'd know that not much money is gained with the current electricity rate. By the time they've paid their workers and do small repairs, enough money won't be left to expand..
