It's not true that no American troops were being killed. Over 2400 American troops were killed in Afghanistan with over 20,000 wounded.
Senior officers were killed too.

Apart from the fact that they are losing troops, it's very expensive like you pointed out and they actually ain't making any good progress.

Of course, the war in Ukraine is different from the war in Afghanistan. The Afghans didn't have the support the Ukrainians enjoy from the world now. And the US didn't get the backlash the Russians are getting.

There is no justification for what America did in Hiroshima and Nagasaki. Even the late Nobel laureate and former president of South Africa Nelson Mandela said so. Many prolific politicians have also condemned the act as inhuman on the part of America who bombed the cities even after Japan had made steps towards reconciliation.

Also the Americans bombed the cities to show the world their power and the kind of devastation they are capable of. Besides it was to serve as a deterrence to the now defunct USSR.

Finally I don't hate the west, I am just saying it as it is.

Japan invaded China and was planning on dominating the whole of Asia as a result millions of Chinese citizens died during bomb raids and millions more starved to death. Yet all you people see is the bombing of hiroshima and Nagasaki, which was a necessary act done for the greater good. A total of 140,000 people died as a result of the two nuclear attack, before the end of the war and after Germany surrendered Japan suicide bombers killed around 800,000 allies soilders when defeat was certain but no one talks about that all they do is rant about Hiroshima and Nagasaki.

I have read digital fortress and Dan Brown happens to be one of my favorite authors. The aftermath of the radiation from the nuclear attack mutated the Japanese billionaire the protagonist of the book who we later found out wasn't as evil as we thought him. Correct me if I am wrong I can't recall some of what happened in the book again because I read it a long while ago.

The atrocities of the Germans during the ww2 is unforgivable. While the mass killings of the jews by the nazis is an act so cruel and diabolic that it makes you shudder just reading about it, contrasting the nazi's operation with Russia's invasion of Ukraine is just an exaggeration on your side.

Also, while the Japanese government committed a lot of atrocities during the ww2, I repeat that the nuclear bombings of Hiroshima and Nagasaki two main cities in Japan with hundreds of thousands of civilians dying and the aftermath of the radiation causing medical issues and mutations in babies born in those areas is not only horrific but also inhuman.
