Please I need your advice right now.

Last year I got a job in an insurance company through an outsourcing firm, Although the company is doing well but the pay is low(below 100k).
Recently, I applied for a job online and later found out is a position of a RESTAURANT MANAGEMENT TRAINEE.
Should I let go of my current job and go with the new one? Or I continue with my job and forfirt the new one?

However, my current job is in Lagos and the stress is much so I thought to get a new job outside Lagos because life here in Lagos is crazy with traffic.

Please kindly advise a brother before taking a wrong decision.

Hmm,you didn't mention the pay of your new job.

The restaurant business to me will make sense. Insurance in this part of the world is a very had and stressful work,with a lot of pressure.

Restaurant business on the other hand is booming in Nigeria. Even when the economy is not smiling, man gat to wak.

Insurance products are hard to sell and Nigerians would rather cover their cars with the Blood of Jesus. They don’t buy insurance products, they don’t believe they can be indemnified.

How you intend to handle a populace like this is beyond me.

If it is a big and known restaurant, I would go for it. Hospitality is a good career path with not much competition. If you are diligent, you can easily use the experience to work in bigger hotels or restaurants. Marriot is currently recruiting and as juicy as their offer looks, anyone without experience in the hospitality industry would be wasting his/her time.

Dump the insurance company and go for the Restaurant management trainee.

Good thing: You acquire valuable sales skills which you can always use to promote your own private business in the future.

Bad thing: Worn out shoe soles. You go talk and waka tire

Restaurant management? Don't know Jack about that space. Research well before jumping ship. Just make sure it's a full time role and not contract.

Bro no place wey wahala no dey.. Don't use lagos stress as an excuse. If you actually want to get better opportunities, lagos is still the best place to be in.. I guess its just your mindset about lagos because u sound like u didnt grow in lag but held about it. Well truth is hold what you have now. Its worth it no matter the situation..

Restaurant work appears better than insurance job

If it's a big restaurant, go for it. People never chop well, e come be insurance they wan buy

Restaurant Management Trainee is it for me, even during COVID, people were dying to go out and unwind in Restaurants and Bars ........... I wish I had an opportunity like this when I was younger.
