Couple of years ago, during the reign of Talinsn government in Afghanistan between 1996 to 2001, all Western technology and art, including music was banned. The ban was erase in 2021 upon the return of the Islamic Emirate.

Even though, not only Afghanistan music was banned, including Iran, Libya, Somalia, Syria, Yemen, North Korea, Venezuela, Iran and Sudan.

And also, do you really know that there are some certain Islamic areas in Nigeria that ban music due to the nature and influence of the music? For example, music that distribute and promotes bad behavior, poor education etc.

So on a serious mind don't say it is not possible for government to ban music in Nigeria.
