Observe, nowadays, fewer and fewer Nigerians are using the face mask. This is unlike much of 2020 and 2021 when it was made a compulsory item for use outside the home. Not a few felt that with the relatively low rate of COVID-19 infections in Nigeria, people were reluctant to clamp that strange item on their faces as it happens in Europe and America. Public facilities in Nigeria like hospitals, banks and supermarkets and even eateries made it a must wear or else violators would be banned from gaining entrance.

However, the tide has turned and the trend has changed. Nowadays, many Nigerians have abandoned the wearing of face masks.
