I want to congratulate the All Progressive Congress (APC) Political family on the successful convention held at the eagle square Abuja, which saw the the former governor of Nassarawa state, Senator Abdullahi Adami emerged as the National Chairman and Senator Iyiola Omisore as the National Secretary. I also want to congratulate the newly elected national executives and the caretaker and convention planning committee, under the leadership of Mallam Mai Buni.

I believe that this convention will further strengthen the party and improve the internal democracy with hope for the youth occupying strategic positions rather than thugs and vote buying agents.

I want to appreciate the visionary leaders of Ondo State, Arakunrin Oluwarotimi Akeredolu (SAN), Lucky Aiyedatiwa, Hon. Oleyelogun and other delegates of Ondo state to the convention for their commitment towards the development of the nation and progressive politics.

In conclusion, the idea of consensus candidate for the position of national Chairman should not be adopted in determining the party flagbearer into the 2023 presidential election because it's going to be anti-democracy with iota of Impunity which is against the principle of free and fair election which might results into the division of the Party.
