Im not a Lawyer but I do know that in Law, there is a maxim that "something cannot be built on nothing". In other words, if a person is to be charged to court, he has to be charged with a crime that exists in the eyes of the law. IPOB leader, Nnamdi Kanu, is facing 15 count charges below

http://saharareporters.com/2022/01/18/exclusive-fresh-15-count-amended-charge-filed-nigerian-government-against-nnamdi-kanu

Of the 15 charges brought against Nnamdi Kanu, 12 are about what he said on his Radio Platform. The 3 remaining charges are about importing a Radio transmitter without disclosing it, professing to be leader of IPOB and purportedly trying to disrupt the Anambra elections of 2019

Criminal Law is far more interested in what a person did, than what they said. How will it be possible to prove that a person committed a criminal act by talking on a Radio Station?

Another thing that makes the case against Nnamdi  Kanu weak is that the prosecution did not state where Kanu was making his broadcasts from. The constitution says that if you accuse a person of committing a crime, you must state the date and location the crime was commited. Kanu's charge sheet does not state where he made his broadcasts, or even the dates.

One laughable charge that was brought against Kanu is that he "threatened that people will die, the whole world will stand still and you thereby committed an offence punishable under Section 1(2)(b) of the Terrorism Prevention Amendment Act, 2013"

How can you charge a man to court for saying that people will die? We will all die one day anyway

I predict that on Friday when Kanu's case comes up, 12 of the charges that are broadcast related, will be thrown out of court leaving the three that were not broadcast related
