To say that the award of the contract then would have prevented the disaster is a fallacy. The usual " insiders" would still have given the bandits or bastards info and the yeye security shit wouldn't have served it's purpose. Would the surveillance equipment have prevented the train doors from being left open for a long distance before it was closed by some persangers? Would the surveillance system could have prevented the man communicating on walkie talkie presumably with his gang even when there are over eighteen security officers on board the train? Like someone earlier said, now that innocent bloods have been sacrificed, the contract is good to go. One thing I know, if those shedding innocent bloods for selfish reasons escape the judgement, their children even up to the fourth generation will not escape it. 1 Like |

Truthisunique2: The track was broken. The surveillance system should have dictated it and stopped the train 10 km from the spot during which the Airforce would have been contacted. Is like most Nairalanders don't understand the surveillance mechanism of pipelines and train tracks? The sensors are multifaceted to ensure continuity, they dictate damages and utilize other satellite-based system where possible. All the contractor will do is enter into a partnership or joint venture with experienced foreign-based surveillance contractors to get the needed equipment for a standard job. |

MadamExcellency:see, surveillance can be dismantled after all the bandits know where they are If the train stopped 10km it would become bandit food because the bandits can calculate where to get attack and get the train to stop at their strongest points Lastly have the bandits not been engaging the army and joint forces and winning them before what makes you think it's a situation where passengers are involved when the forces want to show caution that the bandits won't gain the upper hand attacking recklessly |

Nbotee:Even if osunbande tried to kill the proposal, is Amaechi not one of the closest Ministers to buhari who is now being touted to be his choice successor? Why didn't Amaechi go to buhari personally with it? Why didn't he blow the lid open like he did now when the proposal was shot down by his political opponents? This late approval even though better than never is just a typical example of why Nigeria take a step forward and several backwards. The leadership is always reactionary rather than preemptively proactive. 1 Like |

Agbegbaorogboye: 1. Allahu Akbar is not a prayer but glorification! 2. Jesus allegedly said in Mat 24:24 "For false messiahs and false prophets will appear and perform great signs and wonders to deceive, if possible, even the elect." 3. Jesus allegedly said in Matt 7:21 “Not everyone who says to me, ‘Lord, Lord,’ will enter the kingdom of heaven, but only the one who does the will of my Father who is in heaven. So i say not all those who shout "Allahu Akbar" are following the Islamic dictates! |

Truthisunique2:Where was their relationship when osunbande supposedly shot down the proposal? Why didn't he go personal to his father to complain and convince him? Someone above said the train attack was arranged to make government award the contract. I see some sense in it. 2 Likes |

Re: Train Attacks: Buhari Approves Railway Surveillance Contract by parags(m): 8:26am On Apr 08, 2022 |
its either FEC was stupid and reactionary as usual or Amaechi orchestrated the attack for the contract to sail through. if you have doubts about the possibility of the latter , go and check what people have done for the sake of money. |

Omo this country is blessed with a lot of clueless leaders and very stupid followers. I can't fuuucking believe how some people reason... If u keep complaining about the fruit and ur running from pillar to post, that fruit will never change. It will keep germinating during it's season. To change the fruit, u need to uproot the tree and plant a new one. If u don't ur just wasting ur time... If u gerrit that's good, if u don't gerrit...forget about it because u may actually be in the same class with ur clueless leaders. I come in peace!!!

wilroy:I have palpable fear in me that after reading about this contract award, the bandits would unleash a deadlier attack on the Train yet again, y'know in a supremacy contest. If only the security forces were equal to the tasks, it should be on inch by inch surveillance of that corridor till these gadgets were in place. |

Truthisunique2: You don't interrupt a sophisticated surveillance system. The more you attempt to dismantle them, the more warning it sets. Why are the Iranians, Hezbollah and Hamas of this world never dismantled Israeli surveillance systems? This is not Tom and Jerry cartoon. The system isn't even new. It works 100% without errors. 1 Like |

Because of contract, contractors summon their boys (bandits) to cause Wahala just so that them go approve their shoppings. To them the fastest way to make money from the government is to cause serious conflict |

Approving surveillance is good bt they won't make bandits disappear. How do we solve the menace. What exactly do they want? |
Re: Train Attacks: Buhari Approves Railway Surveillance Contract by Truthisunique2: 8:39am On Apr 08, 2022 |
CharlotteFlair:I don't think the surveillance was much of a big deal at that time to him just a precautionary measure I can assure you other trains in the south no even get the surveillance sef and are fine, so it was more of a "I don give una my proposal o" So it was revisited as a necessity when the issue occured and that was what brought buhari notice to it, don't forget these bandits also went to the airport at kaduna to make sure they cripple airlines coming too Was anyone cashing out of airline too 1 Like |
