Is it wise to pick a candidate from a state that is heavily your opposition?
It will lead to colossal failure. Amaechi can't shoulder opposition of pdp. Please note I am not for Tinubu either.

kaydee007:
The latest decision of Rotimi Amaechi to contest for the presidency might become the end of Asiwaju Bola Tinubu’s ambition. Rotimi Amaechi has an upper hand in the political corridors currently over Bola Tinubu because he has various support from people in power. Rotimi Amaechi claims he is an Ikwerre man that comes from the south-south and that automatically gives him complete votes from the south-south if he scales the APC’s primary election.

President Muhammadu Buhari’s secret candidate seems to be Rotimi Amaechi because he is a loyalist to Buhari. This implies that another humongous amount of votes will come from the northeast for Buhari’s candidate Rotimi Amaechi because Buhari has the highest amount of supporters in the northeast whose loyalty remains with Buhari.

Rotimi Amaechi will also get support from the southeast if he comes out because he will be the only alternative for a southern candidate to emerge as president, this automatically gives him an upper hand over Asiwaju Bola Tinubu who is solely depending on the northeast. Northern rulership will automatically be cut short because Nigerians are no longer in support of a northern candidate because of Buhari’s mal-administration.

Rotimi Amaechi seems to be the perfect candidate that will completely pull down Tinubu’s stronghold in APC and the northeast. In one of his visits to the northeast, he pulled one of the highest crowds any politician has commanded during a visit to the north which implies support for him.

The story is gradually changing from "ON TINUBU MANDATE I STAND" to " 2023 is either Tinubu or Osibanjo". Buhari has a shocker for both of them in the APC primaries.

Madeu:
Peter Odili and Donald duke were close to Obasanjo. Both did more than Amechi to replace Obj. Yet they didn't even get close to winning the Primary.
2023 is for South West. Either Tinubu or Osibanjo.
Well, it's not bad to have an ambition. The most important thing it shouldn't be an exercise in futility.

It's funny how anyone will say President Buhari will support Amaechi or Osinbajo. The man The President is supporting is yet to declare, he wouldn't declare on his own, but be called upon to engage this political half caste's to Victory. Tinubu did it for President Buhari against Atiku in '15. #Meffy2023

concensus can only work if every aspirants agrees to it by writing. Read the new electoral act. So unless they get everybody on the table, forget concensus

Your observation may not be so.

Party politics all over the world is about permutations, power play, reading minds and moods, arithmetic and interests. In Nigeria, religion is included.

Take a look at the north. Do they appear ready to relinquish power, with all you see. I put it to you that if the north plans to cede power to the south, it will be on the basis of compromise, agreements and settlements for a very short period. The north claims that in 16 years of democracy, they have been cheated. They have sidelined the military era where power was nearly 100% resident in the north. They want to retain power, at least to have some form of semblance in this democratic dispensation.

If the above is the case, as we see, do you sincerely believe that the north would allow just any southerner hold on to power until 2031?

Ask yourself if in the spirit of equity and fairness, the SW has any moral justification to seek for the presidency, after 8 years with OBJ and 8 years of PYO as the VP.

“ President Muhammadu Buhari’s secret candidate seems to be Rotimi Amaechi because he is a loyalist to Buhari”. Truly PMB has a “secret” candidate. The candidate however is not a secret. They have devised a method that will enable power return to the north in 2027. Even after 2035 when power returns to the south, it definitely will not be the SW.

The “secret” candidate is GEJ. His deputy will be Buni. GEJ has a second term to complete and it is to the advantage of the north. That’s why you hear that APC woos him to join them. He is one leg out of PDP anyway. He is the candidate that fits the northern permutation and interest in this political power play. Amaechi, PYO, El Rufai, etc are those who would make it have a semblance of a contest. Remember APC insisted on a consensus? He is GEJ. For him, GEJ will cover APC’s shortcomings in the SE, claim the SS and then the northerners secure the votes of the north for him.

Let’s watch out.

I will vote for APC if the choose Ameachi. The only time I had contact with him was 2010 at Isaac Boro park in PH.
He speaks his mind.He had an humble beginning and always use that to encourage people. He command respect and don't play politics. He gives order and everybody follow. One of his commissioners from Ahoada died and the people of the zone started negotiating for replacement b4 the burial of that man. He lavished them and suspended the seat till the end of his tenure. He continued with Ibori #10,000 for Rivers Corp member but Wike stopped it. He stopped cultists, militants and implemented Rivers jobs for Rivers people.
He sent every police officer deployed to Rivers for special training b4 posting them. Sponsored many Rivers indigenes abroad for masters, trainings etc. Built mega schools in every community.
I have great respect for this man.

As for Tinubu, I will rather vote for PDP cos he and his cabal will enslave Nigeria for the next 50years. If you really know what Lagos makes, what they still owes , how things are shared among cronies and the level of development, you will be sorry for the city

Yar'Adua owns Northern Politics... Ask who Gen Yar'Adua was before Abacha killed him

Yar'Adua Family were like Atiku, Buhari and Kwankwasiya merged as one in 1996... In fact people like Atiku, Kwankwaso, Dokpesi were all Gen Yar'Aduas boys... Umar rode on his brothers huge popularity
Am talking politics and you dey yarn family. Yar Adua Musa is not same as Shehu who wielded power and on whose account and love Obj had for his departed friend that he made his younger bro President. Musa had no chances against Odili, he never even bought ticket nor wanted to contest. It was when Odlili was asked by Obj to drop his ambition that Yar Adua was drafted into the race as President Obj's choice

See rotomi ameachi no be tinibu mate, the risk that amaechi take to declare support for party that is not in power at the center, and abuse the sitting president of the country as of that time, and resign as the chairman governor's forum of Nigeria, he did all these to support president buhari, nw you think tinibu can win him in primaries, na lie, you will be rewarded according to your work, if there is any consensus candidate is amaechi or anointed is amaechi, if president is zone to South is amaechi, besides that he is a good product for Nigerians

adamu will just dictate to them on who to vote?

Do you think this is chairmanship position.

The primary is more of your alliances, structure, connection and how much you can spend, in all the state chapter of apc, people like amaechi and osinbajo are popular with those in abuja, but are they known in the grassroots, in all the states of the federation.

Wil the apc in rivers even vote for amaechi, someone even said osinbajo does not know his ward chairman in ikene.....

Honestly this is a easy race for the jagaban.

national politics is about strategy, tinubu is one of the best strategist in nigerian politics as at today.

Remembered the last pdp presidential primary, wike was in charge of pdp machinery and he wanted and worked for tambuwal but atiku beat them to the game at the last minute.

Its a matter of weeks!!

It is amazing how the failure of Mr Incompetent (Buhari) has given everyone the GOLDEN balls to want to be the president of Nigeria…Even the bus driver next door too wants to be the president of Nigeria. What a bunch of jokers!

My first choice

Mr Peter Obi (best for Nigeria if Nigerians have sense)
Engr. Dave Umahi (great builder, less corrupt)
Dr Ogbonnaya Onu (zero corruption, focused)

My second choice
Prof. Yemi Osinbajo (rule of law, good man)
Dr Akinwunmi Adesina (excellent man)
Dr Kingsley Moghalu (good policies)

My third choice
Alhj. Atiku Abubakar (unpredictable)
Chibuike Rotimi Amaechi (pretender, deceiver)

Nigerians should never elect these criminals below
Bola Ahmed Tinubu (criminal, thief, corruption )
Rochas Okorocha (criminal)
Orji Uzo Kalu (thief)
Nasir El Rufai (terrorist)
Nyesome Wike (cultist)
Rabiu Kwankwaso (Muslim extremist)
