Focus: A Living Sacrifice

WORD FOR TODAY
The implication of Christ's death in our lives is that we should be a living sacrifices. We must be dead to sin and every work of the flesh and be alive to do God's will alone!!!

" I beseech you therefore, brethren, by the mercies of God, that you present your bodies a living sacrifice, holy, acceptable to God, which is your reasonable service. (Romans 12:1 NKJV)

The death of Christ on the cross is meant to help every man who accepts
Him to live a sacrificial life. The fact that Christ died for all, those who live should live no longer for themselves, but for Him who died for them and rose again (2Cor.5.15). You are expected to renounce yourself and yield your whole life to the will of Christ.

To be a living sacrifice means submitting yourself to Christ and acknowledging His reign over every aspect of your life. It is always living not to please ourselves, not to advance our interests, but to please our Lord and do His work. It is denying ourselves of anything sinful in His sight. Also, It is joyfully making any sacrifice that
our dedication to Him requires. It is giving up pleasure or comfort for the good of others.

+ Are you a living sacrifice?

Lord! Help me to always yield myself as a living sacrifice in Jesus' name. Amen!!!

Emphasis:
The essence of Christ's death will only be achieved in the life of a man who is a living sacrifice!!!
