At the initial stage of the war, the West and NATO were apprehensive and didn't want to interfere in the war in order not provoke Russia. In fact, the US were ready to evacuate Zelenskyy from Kyiv when it was first surrounded.

But after seeing the huge losses Ukraine were inflicting on Russia, they became emboldened and encouraged and started flooding Ukraine with weapons. And now there is no turning back!!!
