ASUU and fg should face the reality and raise fees.

Or take a fat loan from the IMF to the tune of 5 trillion naira.

If you increase fees, the same student will still go on rampage.

To me there should be a no work no pay policy in this Nigeria. You can’t strike for 1year and still get paid salaries it doesn’t work like that
But they are not receiving their salaries except for NASU and SSANU.

The money APC makes from selling form cannot meet ASUU demands even if Bubu wills it.

ASUU needs trillions of naira for university funding. APC at best would not raise up to a trillion from sale of forms
Apart from their welfares and the platform for payment of salaries, what ASUU is demanding for is 200bn. The last time such amount was released was under President Goodluck.

It's more than that

1. The original sum was 3 trillion naira over 2 years
2. GEJ and Wogu haggled it down to one trillion over 5 years in 2013, and so far just 200 bn has been paid

Nothing will happen. ASUU has no plan.... the reason the ultimatum was extended. If you give an utimatum then you must have planned the next course of action. They have none.

For me, I think ASUU is not doing the wrong thing by going on strike because they are demanding for their own right, because from all indication the government is willing to do the needful. Imagine Al what this government is thinking about is 2023 general election. Our lapses is telling on us.
SHAME ON US!!!

Yes ASUU is wrong and obviously the strike will continue indefinitely.....
But this time Na dem to tire, schools are backing out already, so they can't sustain it....
Apart from some states universities and newly established federal universities, which federal universities have pulled out from the strike?

Government does not mean well for students over the years! Not surprising so many Nigerians students studying abroad so those that their parents cannot afford school abroad are suffering!! The government have never responsible for the plights of the citizens in any way!

Who be NANS? It seems you people learned nothing from Lekki tollgate killings.

Every serious university should leave ASUU. Those university teachers are using unionism to cripple public universities in Nigeria.

You are not ready for Nigeria...
New Nigeria will never come without sacrifices, pains and emotional moments

America is great today not because the early citizens, the founding fathers were cowards but because some people needed to stand their grounds for generations to come - revolutions upon revolutions back then.

Now, your fellow citizens want to run there.

Lekki scenario was just unfortunate and the challenge is largely dominated by un-enlightened persons and a greater part is affected by poverty.

I've never been an advocate of violence and I would never be!

But when you have a situation where you are positioned as a leader and your supposed followers are dwelling in agonies and pains, then, all 'that' falls on your deaf ears, there would be NATURAL unrest almost every moment you need to take rest.

Every serious student should leave ASUU and go where?

Don't be deceived, Nigeria is not designed to work. Don't die for nothing. It's not worth it.

What do you think will happen if ASU demand are not met by May 15.

Will ASUU continue with the strike if their demands are not met by the end of the extended strike period.

Will they continue with the strike? Do you feel ASUU is wrong by going on strike and even extending the strike?
they should continue till June at least

The strike continues while they receive their pay.

Those also affiliated to private universities will be cashing out more.

And when INEC decides for collation officers, they start lobbying for posts. They end up declaring some corrupt politicians as winners after taking hundreds of millions as bribe.
The next incompetent government comes in...

The cycle continues
The students (in Public Universities) suffer

That is what's next

I blame the federal government and ASUU for the prolonged strike. ASUU with their own selfish demand is greedy. Their major demand portrays the alterior motive. Imagine ASUU seeking for university autonomy which will provide every university to charge any amount as tuition fee, which they will never account to any Government how much was generated and how much was spent.
It will also give them the opportunity to employ anyhow and squeeze out the money to finance their budget from the average Nigerian student.
IPPIS matter: Why are they insisting on leaving IPPIS? With the implementation of this particular one and thatof University autonomy, one lecturer can be lecturing in ten schools and as well be Collecting salary from each of them since it is the university that will pay.. Moreover once ASUU demands are met, ASUP COEASU will follow suit and at the end, the common man will suffer the resultant effect.
Apart from these two grey areas, I support the "No work ,No Pay ".

ASUU should continue with the strike.
Along with the no work no pay policy
Also not to be paid for all the months they spent at home, when they finally resume, after their "demands" have been met.

That's left for the politicians to decide.
Cause it seems like the educational sector is under the operation of the politicians.

All we can do is to stay put and wait for the signal be it positive or negative.

All of una here, una mumu never do abi. Some of u graduated 10 years ago, are married and are raising kids that will still stay at home because of ASUU strike.

Good news is there's only one man that will fix this problem. He is no other than Peter obi but e shock me that poor miserable bastards have 100 reasons why Peter Obi will not win. Some of una self think say he will not win because he does not have structure. I ask u, the ones that have structure, where they leave una.

There's no comprehensive medical insurance policy. If ur kidneys fail today, ur people will go on Facebook to task poor people for fund raising. Before money comes, u are a dead man. Something that a simple health insurance will take care of and doctor won't asl u for 1 kobo.

If ur mumu don do, get ur pvc.
