Please let's put heads together and get any of the best ku lnb for prime focus dish.these ones advertised are mostly for offset dishes which might not serve our needs as a result of the variance in f/d ratio of 0.5-0.7.we mostly need 0.3-0.4 except for those using offset dishes.

I think since there is a divergence of opinion as to which LNB is superior - whether spitfire or Avenger,
maybe we should just order both types and put them to real world test. The one that performs better on
fringe reception will then carry the day.
I am willing to commit funds to this trial if only there's a reliable way to acquire these LNBs for
testing purposes.

If we can get the 2 lnbs in UK,I have a contact that will be coming by Nov.that might be too far or if its USA I have a shopping card but my limitation will be the site.if bestbuy,Amazon,buy.com or walmart has them,then it will take less than 3 weeks to come in.

@ george d i think you are right. so far i think we should should focus on prime focus lnbs. most of the lnbs we are discussing are offset lnbs. with all the sites i have been to, it seems 90% of them have people who do marketing behind them. in view of this, they speak differently about a particular product.if we put prime focus lnbs up for testing, im ready to assist. next year i am going full fringe tracking and the journey starts from now.

but all are not for prime focus dish it is for offset

and remember it will not bring you hotbird on 90cm those sat that you got on your bud will not appear on 90cm 0r 120cm with those lnbf

@ aro seyi, anything from 65cm dish can track it but mind you that there are few fta channels there but if you have a 90cm dish, then you can use it to track three different satellite. Track MultiTv with your primary lnbf then followed by Intelsat Newdawn and lastly eutelsat 36 (w4/7). Intelsat Newdawn should be at the middle of MultiTv and DSTv.

@ George, I finally succeeded in fixing the dish on the deck. Pictures will be posted in the motorizing small dishes thread. I will borrow a colleague's camera, mine is bad after being soaked in water for more than 8hrs. The damn leaking has damaged almost all my gadgets, including my laptop screen which is permanently partitioned into two. The dampness alone no get part two, had to warm my remotes every time i want to use them before it will respond.
