One thing I have learned in life is that you should never be ungrateful to the one GOD has used to prosper you. It is very dangerous. No matter what he must have done to you, try and overlook it because any act of betrayal against such a person may be seen as an act of ingratitude to GOD. There are some people that you should not betray if you don't want to contend with the wrath of GOD: the man GOD has used to shape your destiny positively. We are always very reluctant to remember a little help that transformed us. We behave as if those little helps do not matter again because we are now in some comfort zones. No matter what your benefactor has done to you, you are to remember his good deeds to you not his major faults. It is not for us to avenge our benefactor's offence against us. It is between him and GOD. Did Osinbajo and co. betray Asiwaju? Hmmm, let's see. Leke Pitan, Kayode Fayemi, Yemi Osinbajo, Dapo Abiodun, etc could not deny Tinubu's influence in their lives. Today, Yemi Osinbajo and Kayode Fayemi could aspire to be President because one is a Vice President and the other is a governor. Leke Pitan, a Commissioner in Tinubu's cabinet , at the same time Yemi Osinbajo was commissioner for Justice, is not aspiring to be President because he is not anywhere near these two positions. It is possible that if Leke Pitan were to be governor or Vice President today, he too may be aspiring. Therefore, it follows that whatever little help Tinubu gave to these two people galvanized them to the positions they are today which makes them to see themselves as superstars that can compete for the Presidency. Is it too much to step down for your benefactor who had earlier indicated his interest in the position? I don't think so. Any man who thinks that there is a sacrifice that is too much for his benefactor does not deserve the initial grace of GOD. What should Tinubu do? Nothing. Betrayal is as old as creation. His ,will not be the first nor will it be the last. The Yoruba will say "Gba fún ỌLỌRUN". HE(GOD) is the AUTHOR and FINISHER of man's fate. Those who are desperate to be installed into office by man may come to realize that perfidy in whatever form will not go unpunished no matter the position we occupy. This is a simple moral lesson on gratitude and betrayal.
