You do know no one here is supporting the coup àbí ?

But his people love him so he should be allowed to topple a democratically elected government.

I have been reading that here this morning.

If that isn't supporting a coup, my english must be bad

Your English is definitely bad

Because all we've been against here is armed intervention because of the effects on Nigeria.

You think if you or 'ECOWAS' invade Niger you will be fighting just Niger. Lol clearly una never sabi as things dey go

That's how America thought they would do in Afghanistan and Vietnam. E go be like film trick.

It would essentially turn into a US v Russia war. Remember the US through the Secretary of State has made contact with Asiwaju about Niger.

You have a sister who is a 4th wife to a man with 20 children

Suddenly, they want to separate.

You know if they separate, you will start paying unnecessary school fees and house rent. So you do your best to make sure he stays with her in his marriage

That is what Nigeria will avoid if this coup fails.

I wonder why they do not want to see this point.

We'll be dragged into an unnecessary conflict that will have catastrophic effects on an already terrible situation.

As for those saying we'll have an influx of Nigeriens into the north if the coup is successful, what's the difference?

They already come in their numbers.

Nigerians na very funny people grin

When this guy starts, and Nigeriens start pouring into our country, also giving birth to different terror groups, the same Nigerians will come back and lament on why Tinubu is not doing anything.

Someone is loved by his people, but he is banning social media, yet we cannot see the clear sign that this guy should not even be the Class captain of an SS3 class.

Make Tinubu comot hand sef. grin

I mean they are even making it seems as if Ecowas has always sat down idly whenever coups happens in West Africa without doing anything.

Even Mali sef, Buhari sent Jonathan as envoy to that country on behalf of Ecowas to try and find a diplomatic efforts to end the coup.

Two days after negotiations, the ousted President and prime minister of mali tendered their resignation and the coupist released them from detention. The coupist agreed with Ecowas that they will conduct election and transition to civilian rule in 2022. (Coup happened in 2021) in jan 2022, the coupist wrote to Ecowas that Ecowas should allow them extend the transition by 5yrs, Ecowas responded by closing all borders to Mali and imposing sanctions against them (Same thing Tinubu started with against Niger) and asking them to go ahead with the planned transition or there will be military intervention. Both the coupist and Ecowas later agreed to move the transition period to 2024 in what some describe as Ecowas giving the coupist enough time to save face.

The talk that Ecowas hasn't been doing nothing no hold to the reality on ground.

Nigeria is not avoiding anything. Unless the coupists cowardly put down their weapons. If they are serious about fighting trust me you will not be ready for the fallout of a drawn out war of attrition that other countries might back

Exactly what will happen. I keep hearing about ECOWAS. How many of the ECOWAS countries presently aren't under military rule undecided

Everybody with their agenda both US, France or Russia. We need to stop thinking these countries give a damn about Africa

They don't. I watched a video (maybe movie) of a white guy explaining to group of people on how it will be more beneficial to the West if Africa is kept underdeveloped. So many propaganda and all. Is really hard to understand the world system.

We are not invading it as Nigeria. We are invading it as ECOWAS

The last time i checked, Niger Republic was part of ECOWAS, and one of the commitments of the Community to its member countries is to uphold their constitutional laws and promote and instill peace

If we stop Mr Coupist from pulling this stunt, we would guide them into their next election in 2025, and then Mr Coupist can contest and win easily (shebi his people love him well well? )

But if this guy gets his wish, be ready for another coup before 2024 ends

And oh, they can kiss electing their leaders and democracies goodbye
Same ECOWAS that has 4 countries under military dictatorship as we speak?

This invading as ECOWAS, na just talk, Nigeria will be providing the bulk of the man-power and very possibly cash to fund any ECOWAS military intervention.

In far away Africa where US has military scattered in most of the country that borders Niger. How many military base does Russia has in Africa not to talk of Africa?

This is not Asia or middle east where Russia can flex military muscles.

All of a sudden the same people who loudly critisied different pro Niger policies now remember to tell those who listen to them that Niger is a buffer region.

When the clown was posting exposes about govt purchases of vehicles for Niger govt he conveniently omitted this key fact.

Ekpa the efulefu is governing 5 states in Eastern Nigeria from Finland, holding an entire region of a federation hostage, we no do anything, despite numerous pleadings.

But if na to invade Niger, our prick go stand because it will look good on us abi? You have asked Nigerians to endure the austerity measures aimed at reclaiming the economy and they are doing that in sifia pains, please they should use our armies to secure Nigerian lives first!

I no like wetin I no like!
The same clowns that have been saying people from the South East should ask BAT for help before any military intervention in Nigeria are the same ones pushing for Nigeria to invade a sovereign country...I wonder if they've asked the people of Niger what they think.

What do you want America to do to a democratically elected government? Is the sane thing not to wait till election time and work behind the scene for another party/individual (which are usually their puppets) to take over?

A democratic elected govt means they were voted in by the majority of the people, I dont know what you want America who are "champions" of democracy to do.

Is it a must that every country under the sun must practice democracy ? Let's start from there.

If America's democracy permits them to look away when things go wrong under a democratically elected government, why do they suddenly gain interest when the citizens of the country resort to self help ? Is that not hypocrisy?
