Election has never been free and fair in Nigeria. When politicians plan elections in Nigeria, they talk about tactics to be deployed for rigging. To politicians these whole thing is a game, nobody gives a fhuck about anybody. The best gamer won and the other contestants know that it's a game, I only pity the foolsss that will be used as Cannon fodders.

Nothing will change if Tinubu or obi or Atiku rules Nigeria, people will be rich and people will be poor. You want to put your life on the line for obi? If you really had something going on in your life, you won't be bleating like a goat on heat. Where are obi's kids in the fray?

Okay perhaps I missed the most important question I should have asked first to be sure the kind of mindset I'm engaging.

1.Which candidate did you support or vote for?

2. Do you believe that politics affects your life directly in a variety of ways??

Very important 2 questions before I reply this post you just posted.

I never voted for anybody

Politics affects our life but the present crop of politicians are all rouges and gamers, they've all been fingered in one form of graft or another, so I wonder why an educated individuals are willing to put their lives on the life for people that did nothing spectacular when they held sway as governors/vice president.

It's very easy to predict Nigerian Politics, See the way you answered him with Full Force! And i'm certain you are ready to stake any amount with any doubting thomas.

In the history of presidential elections globally, How many countries or elections have been overturned by the judiciary even in elections where one candidate will obviously rig and get 95% of all votes

Ask yourself, How many Polling units were in Nigeria, How many units can convincing evidence of malpractice be produced. Then what percentage of all polling unit is that?

If 100 students write an exam and 8 were caught cheating will they cancel the entire center/exam

Its very easy once you don't reason am with emotions

Jokes on you if you think when the person you support is made president of Nigeria, Nigeria will turn to an El Dorado in 4-8years. Get your money up so you'll stop paying attention to APC PDP or LP and threatening to burn down the country because your preferred candidate didn't win. Imagine a thriving business man or an employee in a blue chip firm in Nigeria threatening to burn down Nigeria for a man that he doesn't know from Adam undecided?

Theorists are armchair war generals. They claim to know it all and theoretize but when it gets right down to it, they barely ever create anything of valuable.

If he's serious about the things he postulates, he should team up with developers and course creators to create web and/or mobile portals which serve as the go-to repository for everything about his tribe - history, culture, language (etymology and all), religion and more.

I'd have exemplified with one but it's too close to home. I might if he's willing to. In fact, I dare that he shows anything concrete he's done to push the narratives he holds dear other than Nairaland insults.

I bet he doesn't even know the history of his own hometown or has ever been part of the documentation process, whether in paper or digital form.

No, a gazillion research works which are nothing more than lexical regurgitations of other works and which are still far from accessible to the target demography - the everyday "ignorant" African he insults daily here - do not count.

Theorists are all talk and little execution of what they say. More like the ubiquitous folks on Tech Twitter giving a thousand tips and "how-tos" but when it gets right down to it, they do nothing. Just insults and throwing tantrums.

Just posturing and angling to fit the perspective as thought-leaders. Smart people who get their hands dirty doing the actual work have learnt to ignore them.
Two morons dey quote themselves.

Nairaland and clowns sha. Calling theorists "armchair war generals", when tons of theoretical physicists have won Nobel prizes for making key contributions to the science world with their theories.

I even dey aim to have gazillion research works on key topics sef so I can become a professor of Physics at a young age. That's the aim of every research scientist.

This one na clown. Most of my posts on Nairaland and other social media platforms are community projects, which I engage in both online and offline.

You're typing trash on a phone which is handiwork of theorists you're disparaging here.

People have won grants and awards in millions of dollars for developing key models and theories, which other scientists and engineers apply to build some of the gadgets this mumu is carrying all around.

Physicists all around the world invest time, effort, and financial resources in developing the physics underlying a wide-range of phenomena.

They do so by theorizing and building models, physical and mathematical models, which are published in papers.

This is the area of specialization of many physicists around the world. Theorizing is all that they do. Popular physicists such as Nobel-Prize-winning physicists Roger Penrose, Frank Wilczek, and many others have made a fortune for themselves for one task: theorizing.

You obviously don't how the world of Physics works. He thinks developing theories and models in Physics is a piece of cake. If your Math isn't extremely good, I'm talking about advanced Math at PhD level and beyond, you can't make key contributions in this area.

Popular physicists such as Brian Cox, Michio Kaku, and co make thousands of dollars yearly from the books they've written on theories and models they developed. Theorizing is all they do.

The knowledge physicists get from developing theories and models for the physics of a range of natural phenomena is highly valuable, which can fetch them thousands/millions of dollars. This is why people invest a lot of funds and time in developing key theories and models in their field.

For many other physicists, testing the predictions in those theories and models developed by the first section is all they do. These ones are experimentalists, and some of them are involved in big-science projects such as the Large Handron Collider and the James Webb Space Telescope.

If some geniuses didn't develop some theories and mathematical models, would you even have anything called the web or mobile portal at all?

Some people are funny that they don't know jack about the way science works. In a year, each scientist has a set of projects they want to work on.

But he's saying I should create a web and some mobile portal blah blah blah. So any physicist that doesn't have such a project as his priority at the moment is an armchair war general.

Mumu, it's obvious this one doesn't know jack about science. Sometimes, some research project can last for over 5 years and require significant funding, he's talking about research projects as if they're something you just wake up today, start, and finish tomorrow.

Every scientist has their research interests, and it's obvious you don't know scientific research in Physics has various areas.

Due to limited amount of time in a day and financial resources, a person can only focus on a couple of areas.

And I should "team up with career developers and course creators to create web and/or mobile portals which serve as the go-to repository for everything about his tribe - history, culture, language (etymology and all), religion and more."

See the way he said as if it's so easy. Some people can be funny sha. How have you even contributed to developing STEM in your local culture to start with?

At least, I'm collaborating with fellow Yoruba scientists to develop STEM in Yoruba. We contribute to this project both offline and online.

How have you impacted your local culture, Urhobo, using your knowledge and skills in your field?

I've seen Yoruba, Igbo, and Hausa tech guys and ladies doing wonderful things in developing and promoting science and technology in their native language?

What have you done to promote and develop STEM in your own culture?

The funny thing is, I was actually about to take you seriously and try to have a dialogue with you until one mind told me to just check your profile first.

So you're a new account created during the campaign period that basically attacks obidients at every turn and of course spices it with rabid igbophobia. grin

Well-done, I won't engage with another hate-filled tribal rabid partisan BATstard_.

And to think that you just lied about your partisanship few minutes ago.

write anything you want to write, go through those post you quoted, I only respond when I'm attacked by your people with complex issues and for your information I didn't vote because I wasn't in the city I registered to vote during the elections and if I had voted, I won't vote for obi. Obi has nothing to offer, BAT outsmarted him and he's now the president, there's nothing you and your ilks can do about it.

You are the hate filled rabid tribal Bastardd, has BAT ever ruled your state? Is your state of origin better that the state he ruled? I'm not Igbo or Yoruba but if obi wasn't Igbo would you have voted for him taking his performance as governor into consideration if you weren't driven by a deep seated tribal sentiment?

Still complete hogwash and theoretical bullcrap. Armchair analyses and everything abstract but never doing the actual work. Like our policymakers holding a thousand symposia but never getting on ground to implement or curate the things they talk about.

Shush it! I'm not on about mentioning what others have done - I mean what you have done. YOU! You are the one who's been on a crusade insulting Africans and calling them dumb, but have done no ground work.

Let me help you with what I HAVE DONE TO CURATE the culture, stories, language and more of my own people.

In 2011/2012, as a a teenager, I helped document the most recent written history of my LGA. My name is also listed on it. I still have a copy of the book at home.

On October 2, 2020, in the heat of the EndSARS, we launched a digital portal for everything my people which I was honoured to have built along with other contributors.

I've collaborated with the Curator of the Women War Memorial - the one of two in the world (and still do even though she's currently holidaying in Canada) who's a retired history lecturer and other historians and researchers to update the bibliography of my people (nay the Ibibio people in general).

Later on when I'm home, if you will match it up, I'd show you my desktop screen - video even - of the digital portal for every tribe in my state; language, culture, history, people, and more. Teaming up with other creators. It's still in development mode on XAMPP, but I'd show you if you'd match it up. No, it's not paid. We are bootstrapping it ourselves.

I didn't need to insult Africans and call them dull, foóls, low IQ and other such self-denigrating terms.

Again, A001, devoid of your hogwash epistle and referencing theories and the works of others, what have you done - actual work outside Nairaland - to promote the culture and more of your people away from Nairaland insults?

“I have been, over the years, talked about the pending crisis ahead of the current economic hardship. Any economist who has studied monetary policy in the last eight years knows that Nigerians will fall into this difficult situation.

“The difficult situation Nigerians are facing is just the beginning (if the right decision is not put in place) because Nigeria is not exceptional; such situations happened in Germany, Zimbabwe, Uganda, and Venezuela.

“The previous administration has turned adamant about our appeal for corrective measures (on the economic policy). I have said in the presence of the now sitting president in Kaduna state, any politician who tells you that things will be easy, don’t vote for him because he is lying. People merely dismissed my advisory as a political statement.

“If I am to be fair and just to President Bola Tinubu, he is not to blame for the current hardship; for eight years, we were living on a fake lifestyle with huge debt from foreign and domestic debts. The Central Bank of Nigeria owes over N30 trillion, which resulted in debt service surpassing 100 percent.

“I can’t join other Nigerians criticising Tinubu on the current economic hardship, and I am not saying he is a saint free from wrongdoing, but in this current economic situation, President Tinubu is not to be blamed. I will also speak if I see any wrong economic policy of the Tinubu administration in the feature.

“It’s injustice for anyone to blame the Tinubu administration for the current economic hardship because there is no other alternative than the removal of the fuel subsidy. After all, Nigeria cannot even afford to pay the subsidy.

“(In the last eight years), the Central Bank continues to print more money, and the Naira continue to depreciate. There is too much naira in circulation because the CBN is printing the currency without restraint.

“The economy was poorly managed, and they are not willing to take advice; in the last eight years, apart from sycophancy, nothing has been done; those sycophants are those buying the dollar at the rate of N400 and selling it at the rate of N600 to N700.

“A boy who has no record of service has a private jet and owns houses in Dubai and England just because he is buying Dollar at so so a rate and selling them.

“I can only plead with the people to endure the hardship, and those who have the means to help the downtrodden should do so.

“I am also pleading with commoners to live according to their earnings; we must not peg our lives above our earnings in this difficult situation where people are looking for what to eat."

Of course. Predictable. "I'd bin your mention!" "I don't have time!" Everything evasive to avoid the obvious - you are all bluff! Bluff and nothing more! You create nothing but talk down on everyone.

You are worse than the religious folks you criticize, thinking yourself driven by a sense of superior knowledge by some force higher than what everyone around can understand. But you are as hollow and banal as they come.

So the verdict is in then: You've done nothing tangible and concrete to contribute to the African heritage curation and revival you accuse the rest of us of subverting. You are just a critic. A lazy, megalomaniac one at that.

Nothing more than one of those Twitter addicts who'd tweet hashtags they don't even care much about but as long as it feeds a certain crafted image of theirs, they'd do it.

Now go insult the rest of the continent on other threads while avoiding your reflection of complicit hypocrisy in the mirror.

"I have tested Oracle and it has worked for our success. In Lagos State, what we did in effective collaboration with you, has been copied across the states of the Federation.

"We can only build our institutions with accurate data and cutting edge data management capabilities that are reliable and effective. We can only rely upon our human resources for excellent service delivery to Nigerians, if they are well trained and ready to learn.

"The transfer of knowledge is essential for our nation and the continent. In this government, we believe that the only way to build our country is a bottom-up-approach and from one single sheet of paper, we can create an end-to-end solution for public administration that will rid our service of its worst tendencies in favor of effectiveness and reliability."

.......Whilst expressing concern about Nigeria's bloated civil service payroll at the national and sub-national levels, the President also stated:

"Each time they give me the payroll number, I get so frightened. Where am I going to get the capital to develop the infrastructure we desperately require if the payroll of 1% - 2% of the population is consuming all the revenue?

I think we need a tight technological control that can check and balance all necessary control points of our transaction processes. I'm looking forward to working with Oracle because I have the belief and confidence that you can do it as you have in the past."

In his remarks, the Global Vice President of Oracle proposed a comprehensive digital transformation of work process at the federal level of administration, in order to achieve greater macro-economic visibility; streamline government processes for cost and time savings; and to provide the desired skills development opportunities for Nigerians.

"You have shown tremendous practical leadership throughout your career, Mr. President. We have partnered with you and we know how determined you are to achieve all that you set out to achieve. This is why we are offering Nigeria a free national diagnostic of the present situation in the public service with a view to dimensioning across sectors the scale of solution required. .......Whilst expressing concern about Nigeria's bloated civil service payroll at the national and sub-national levels, the President also stated:

We look forward to partnering with you again," the Oracle VP concluded.
He's bringing back all the companies he worked with when he was governor.
