Ordinary Nembe waterside or Abuloma Waterside to Okrika, you must wear life jacket

Only God knows how people got on the Niger on an open boat with no safety equipment.

And for a movie shoot no less.

I also don't know how to ride a bicycle till date and I'm not even bothered one bit. My Mates during NYSC tried making joke out of the fact that I can't ride a bicycle ; but in real life I get sharp mouth so my clap back made them abort mission 😁

Swimming or anything that has to do with water was a no-no for me. I don't like water-bodies at all; water scares me easily. I voluntarily declined going on a field trip during NYSC cos I heard we will visit one ancient crocodile shrine as part of our visit to the major river in the town. I no dey do wetin pass my power.

You mean bridge from badagry port to point of no return shocked
If this is true they try but i doubt because it's ocean water oo unless the water is just at the entrance and not across it will collapse
That is what they told me ooh, and i ask my son when he returned and he said they crossed a bridge to the other side of the water by bus. Whether it was the main river ooh, i can't say...

Some of these guys are not that educated. They are just talented footballers
Some of these players attended academies through secondary school where they train for most of the day while their mates are learning in class
They are no different from Ikpeba, Taiye Taiwo we have here. Minus their football talents some of them will be agberos and bandits

An uneducated will still be uneducated whether he is Nigerian or Oyinbo
You made valid points tho.

I was thinking that their school covers alot of things and that it's well exposed and equipped. Someone like Saka that I know he's brilliant, I believe he'll get all these answers easy

Shoreline to shoreline the river from Abuloma to Okrika is 1 mile wide, same as River Niger in Asaba axis. There is no difference between them if boat spill you in the middle.

Nigeria to receive one of the world’s most powerful biometric systems from IDEMIA Smart Identity.

IDEMIA Smart Identity has renewed its commitment to Nigeria’s National Identity Management Commission (NIMC) by implementing an upgrade of the entire biometric identification system, which will accommodate 250 million records.

This project, supported by the World Bank through its ID4D initiative, will ensure that each citizen’s identity in the civil database remains unique.
Re: EPL Chatroom - All Discussions by OasisX: 7:26pm On Apr 11
.......NIMC agreed to renew their long-standing collaboration and upgrade NIMC’s biometric system to become the most advanced biometric system in the world, comparable only with Aadhaar in India. The powerful biometric matching system will be able to handle 1 million 1:1 and 1:N identity verification searches per day.

The initial system was designed to support 100 million records but has already reached around 90 million records and requires this extension to address the whole Nigerian population. In context, NIMC is already positioned to achieve the sustainable development goals target set for 2030 by the United Nations, which calls for a legal identity for all by the year 2030.*

In addition, the system upgrade is going to allow NIMC to be compliant with OSIA, an open standard set of interfaces (APIs) that enables seamless connectivity between all components of the identity management ecosystem.

Re: EPL Chatroom - All Discussions by OasisX: 7:28pm On Apr 11
We are very proud to continue our long-standing collaboration with NIMC for the greater good of Nigeria’s growing population. The new powerful system is future-proof and will ensure that all Nigerians have access to a secured, trusted identity, enabling them to exercise their rights and responsibilities as a citizen. Moreover, this contract, in the most populous country in Africa, demonstrates IDEMIA’s capability to deploy its technologies on a very large scale.

.....remain 6 fasting after Ramadan, though not compulsory. I am still in pope's mode.
Re: EPL Chatroom - All Discussions by OasisX: 7:30pm On Apr 11
Taking this next step in the enhancement of our system with IDEMIA Smart Identity was a natural choice for us. We wanted to ensure that we deliver the best-in-class solution to our fellow Nigerians, and the pure power of the biometric matching we will receive ensures that the solution is future-proof for our growing population.

......its called sitta shawwal. Abu Ayyub Al-Ansari relates that Allah’s Messenger (peace be upon him) says: “Whoever fasts the month of Ramadan and then follows it with six days of fasting in the month of Shawwal, it will be as if he had fasted the year through.”

So here's a video of those who died on the boat mishap suggesting that love jackets were actually provided but they only used the life jacket to snap and then dumped it.

https://www.instagram.com/reel/C5oFfKQM66r/?igsh=MWF3bXJyamk4aThxbA==

I don't know how authentic the video is but I know Nigerians always cross express road under pedestrian bridges and Nigerians always refuse to use helmet when on bike for their own safety. Such recklessness is not beyond Nigerians generally
